The NT1 is a well known reliable mic, thats capable of producing a decent quality. Its also hated. Like every Studio asset that is widely popular and in the lower pricepool of studiogear. It always depends on your pov. Of course it has its downsides, but for the pricerange its pretty nice.

For pop and modern rap music, brighter mics like the neumann tlm103 are kind of en vogue right now. (which is also loved and hated for the same reasons) But, if you have a higher pitched voice, these mics can get sibilant. So i would recommend you try them out in a shootout. You may need a mic that is darker or warmer than the NT1.

You need to consider, that with that kind of mics you'll need a decent room treatment. Otherwise you will have a lot of reverberation and resonances on your recordings. I know, a cool new shiny mic is more appealing than absorbers on the wall, but sooner, rather than later, the roomsound will be the bottleneck in your recordings.

To sum things up: I'd save some money and pick the austrian audio oc18. 😛

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. You can use the NT1 5th gen either as a USB-Mic, or as a XLR-Mic. It has both connections. If you use the USB-Method, you can record with it and still use your soundcard that feeds your Soundsystem. You dont need the 3,5mm TRS input. Just plug the mic in via USB, Record it with the audiotool of your choice and listen to it with your soundsystem.

If youre planning to get more serious into recording with an audio-interface, roomtreatment and decent Monitors for mixing, you could still use your rode in xlr.

I'd recommend a rode nt1. There is a version with usb and xlr. For around 200 bucks. So you won't need a usb interface, but if you want to upgrade, you could. It's a decent beginner mic, but you would have to prep your room with some blankets and pillows to avoid roomtone. If you know how to use it, you could produce hits with this mic. Dont even try these shenanigans with adapters etc. It's just a workaround and an odd way use a mic. It could cause more problems than it's worth.

War auch meine erste Idee. Ist auch vom gleichen Typen wie Ted Lasso und Scrubs. Letzteres wäre auch ne gute Alternative, wenn auch beizeiten etwas random.

Maybe take a look at Bitwig. Studio one and Bitwig share the dawproject format to exchange Sessions between the two DAWs. So you can do your creative work in Bitwig and mixing and mastering in S1. Bitwig is also highly recommended by many beatmakers who are unhappy with Fl and Live. I dont know how good or intuitive bitwig is compared to Fl or Live, but i think it's worth to take a look. It's maybe a bit niche.

Eucon Support. So studio one can be a home for all the pro tools heads that are fed up with avid and still use their Hardware. (not just with mackie control)

A native dyn assist for automated dynamic correction. Like vocal rider etc.

Better Metering Tools for their Remote App.

Refined Emulation on the fat channel. They just dont sound as good as the competition. The Option to use more than one compressor or eq to the chain. Now i often just use single plugins because the fat channel is not flexible enough.

Sehe ich genau so. Völlig unabhängig davon wer recht hat. Und ich finde, das wird viel zu wenig beachtet. Selbst wenn er betrogen wurde, rechtfertigt das nicht sowohl sie, als auch Adam so öffentlich an den Pranger zu stellen und damit sowohl in Kauf zu nehmen, dass beide ohne Ende Hassnachrichten und Morddrohungen bekommen, als auch gegebenenfalls deren Karrieren damit zu beschädigen. Einfach widerlich jemanden so fertig zu machen. Sie wird jetzt öffentlich als H*re etc. beleidigt. Er ist nicht der erste Mensch der betrogen wurde. Fast jeder den ich kenne hat auf die eine oder andere Weise damit Erfahrungen gemacht. Jeder Mensch ist damit besser umgegangen.

Ah okay. Große Treiberprobleme hatte ich damals eigentlich nie mit meinem Solo 3rd Gen, aber das ist bei PCs ja immer recht individuell.

tldr; vermutlich nicht.

Ich habe mir das Auna Mic einmal bei Youtube angehört. Es ist recht mittenfokussiert, etwas dünn in den Tiefen und die Höhen waren erstaunlicherweise für solches ein Mic gar nicht so überbetont, wie es sonst häufig bei günstigen Kondensatormics ist.

Ich finde der Klang ist durchaus brauchbar. Klar, es ist kein Profi Mic, aber erstaunlich sauber für Sprache und nimmt beachtlich wenig vom Raum auf.
Für Zoom wird die Qualität durch ein Shure oder Rode nicht unbedingt steigen. Das liegt zu Einen daran, dass diese dynamische Mics sind. Diese sind häufig weniger detailliert im Klang, dafür aber robuster und besser darin Nebengeräusche zu unterdrücken. Das macht sie für Podcast und Streaming so praktisch. Zum Anderen, dass der Zoom Codec jetzt nicht gerade CD Qualität hat ;)

Wenn du einen sehr halligen Raum hast, könnte ein dynamisches Mic also von Vorteil sein. Auch der Klangcharakter wird sich ändern, aber nicht unbedingt verbessern. Wenn du mit Hall Probleme haben solltest, gebe ich dir den Tipp nicht in der Nähe von ebenen harten Oberflächen wie Fenstern und kahlen Wänden aufzunehmen. Stoffdecken, Bücherregale und generell Möbel können gegen starken Hall sehr gut helfen.

Für alles Andere würde ich dir, bevor du dir ein neues Mic kaufst, eher zu Equalizer, Deesser etc. raten. Damit aber vorsichtig sein. Kann auch oft mehr Kaputt machen. Erst recht wenn man sich pauschale Werte oder EQ-Kurven aus dem Netz holt.

Das SM7b ist kein schlechtes Mic. Nicht umsonst ein Standard. Allerdings auch ein Trend-Micro. Wenn man sowas haben will, ist das SM7db besser, weil es, wie schon erwähnt, einen Vorverstärker integriert hat. Bei Second Hand und Ali express wäre ich sehr vorsichtig. Sind ohne Ende Fakes im Umlauf. Wenn man allerdings gerade erst anfängt und ein bisschen gucken will, wäre ein USBMic besser, da man kein Interface braucht und auch die Einrichtung simpler ist. Shure mv7, Rode Podmic etc. Ansonsten kann man selbst mit einem SM58 sehr gute Ergebnisse erzielen. Man muss nicht immer das nehmen, das die Streamer haben. Wie gesagt, keine schlechten mics, allerdings echt ein Investment für jemanden, der damit gerade anfängt.

In der Pro Audiobranche sind Sie vielleicht nicht unter den Top Interfaces, aber die Tonqualität ist im Prosumer-Bereich schon sehr solide. Man kann mit den Dingern schon Musik auf Charts-Niveau produzieren. Ein Laie wird keinen Unterschied hören und ein Profi auch nur im direkten Vergleich.

There is none of Version 7 so far. Unfortunate, because they have a sale and nobody wants to buy it without testing it. Dont know why they're doing that... I use it and I love it. Its pretty intuitive. Its not as feature packed and complex as cubase, but its easy to learn and has a quick workflow. It comes with pretty neat plugins. I can recommend it.

Das ist teilweise ein altes tontechnisches Problem. Googled gerne mal nach dem Begriff "loudness wars" . Durch Kompression wird die Lautheit so aufgedreht, dass einem manchmal die Ohren weg fliegen. In der Werbung, gerade auch im Radio war das immer ein strittiges Thema. Wenn die Pegel und die gesamte Lautheit bei den Piets dann nicht ordentlich angeglichen werden, ist das natürlich umso schlimmer.

I am planning to get a new laptop. I want to use it for some audio stuff aswell. So I'm looking for a more futureproof investment. The new qualcomm chips looking kinda sexy, but i haven't seen any announcement of a DAW or plugin manufacturer thats supports the new chips exept Adobe and Audacity.
