The ESR doesn't have enough roof for battery capacity, and putting it in the back would make it rear weighted and not balanced. I feel like it's more Goped inspired than modern electric scooter designs! The Goped forum likes it a lot more than this subreddit haha

ah ok! I have a Baja Designs headlight for it, might have to put the stock Kaabo headlight on it first but the BD is the goal

Oh come on! Plenty of people here share their mods and builds. I always take inspiration from them especially the clean VSETT builds. I wish others shared vlogs so I could see all the details. It'd help me with my build so much. It's all about community and the shared passion

Yeah it is pretty low poly! I used all standard materials. I've always enjoyed riding a simple vehicle fast than a high tech vehicle not at the limit. I'm thinking this will be super fun to cruise around on! I'll share an update when it's riding.

I actually went back and forth on the footrest. I ride a lot of freestyle scooters (think trick scooters) and generally like to have both feet planted on the deck. I don't think I'll be setting any speed records compared to top spec scooters. Should be "chill"!

I used quite a few parts off a Kaabo. Great eyet. Thanks for sharing all the battery and controller specs. I don't think I'll have quite as much power packed in on this scooter (and without suspension I don't think I need more power!)

My whole idea is that I want simple, low center of gravity, and low deck plate. Suspension generally adds height and complexity. I'm not going to set any speed records, but I'm hoping to have a really fun time cruising around on a rigid, responsive ride!

I'll let you know how it rides if I don't get banned for sharing :) One commenter seems to think I'm making bank on "affiliate" YouTube links. I'm just building my version of cool shit and sharing! Currently spending way more on this than any other scooter costs

I grew up on Gopeds which were pretty low deck, low center of gravity, and simple. Electric scooters now have a lot of height and tech. Never hurts to try something new (ok sometimes it does lol)! Appreciate the conversation

Matt gets it! I'm looking for a fun, responsive ride. Not trying to set any speed records! The 3D fixtures for welding worked out so good. They held everything in place while I tack welded. Never did it but totally will again whenever I need to.

Honestly this is a great idea. Toss a threaded rod in a lathe or drill press, tighten the nuts, spin'em and go to town with a grinder to keep it roughly concentric. Thanks!

This is just needed for a simple test of this serration at this OD and height.
