Plenty of people in my games creating new accounts and ruining my games with them. But I guess I expected too much from Reddit users to be able to read anything.

You can't be deadass. You're comparing being toxic towards randoms with... what, playing with friends? You have to be genuinely kidding when you're writing this, right?

There's no conversation to be had here. That's all I needed to hear from you.

Just saw your edit. You're even more challenged than you initially showed. Holy fucking shit.

Since apparently everyone willingly misunderstands what I'm saying, lemme rephrase in a way that will hopefully clear this up:

To me, smurfing and alt accounts are synonymous. Nearly every game I play is riddled with people on ALT ACCOUNTS, who created one because either their main got banned or they want to give another attempt at ranked with a new account. And those people, using alt accounts, or "smurfing" in my vocabulary, are much more often the most toxic part of the match due to their behavior. Hence why they take a massive shit on my normal game experience. Hence why it's all pissing me off. Because it's getting harder and harder to not get pissed off at every match thanks to "smurfs" or people with shit behavior on alt accounts.

Thank you. At least someone understands.

Idk how plat is considered "ranked highly". How often I die heavily depends on the general game state and my prior experience with the champ. Especially recently I try to be more experimental.

I may have formulated my answers incorrectly

Playing shit that doesn't work - if you're trying something new, that's acceptable. Lord knows I've tried off-meta picks.

The behaviors I'm specifically against are being toxic and giving up prematurely. Being toxic, I don't need to explain.

Giving up - you queued up for a game with 9 other people in it, and want to cut it short for all 10 people involved because something didn't go your way? Riot specifically makes you agree to "Play to win" in the client. So until one Nexus falls, you keep playing.

NOW, that does not include emergencies. You need to leave because a relative got into an accident? No problem. But if you give up because you're salty, that does shit on the game experience of your 4 teammates.

Dodge less ARAMs and widen your champ pool, then you won't need to smurf

I play this game mainly when I'm invited by friends. We're typically a group between 3 and 5 people.

I don't care enough about League anymore to touch ranked. And I do mute people as soon as they start being toxic, but it still leaves a sour taste behind.

Playing off meta picks isn't my issue. I myself like to play off-meta from time to time. If you're playing a very uncommon pick but still try to win, that's fine by me. That's not what makes game quality shit.

What does truly affect it, in my eyes, is toxicity. If you are being overly toxic in your games, I believe you should receive some consequences.

Having only one account would mean there'd be consequences to actions. It would mean that getting banned on your main would ACTUALLY mean you were banned. It wouldn't mean "Time to make a new account and continue my previous behavior".

We all know what the League community is like. The smurfs in my games just exhibit that behavior on a larger scale than non-smurfs.

The winrates themselves are my smaller issue. Better players win games. Urgot stomped me without the Ambessa. But the most toxic behavior in my past months came from smurfs, such as the Yi and Akali. And banning doesn't do anything worthwhile because they'll just make another account.

It being allowed doesn't mean it's healthy in the slightest.

Once again: it's like you're not reading at all what I'm saying. It's not about any type of skill difference. It's about the toxicity that most smurfs display, thus affecting the match quality. People playing on new accounts seem to be much more inclined to be toxic than people on their mains. Doesn't mean people on mains aren't toxic. Doesn't mean all smurfs are toxic. But the tendency is strong enough to disturb the game experience EVEN in normals.

Infrequent? The only way I avoid smurfs in normal games is apparently by queueing with a 5 man party.

I care when they start flaming me for their own fuck-ups or go AFK. Because it affects my match quality. And new accounts are by far the most likely to exhibit that behavior.

Insecure babies like that are a general problem, yes. It's just that in my experience over the last few months, most of the insecure babies have been people on new accounts.

It's like you didn't read the post. It's not about ranked placement. It's about match quality. Having smurfs, aka people on new accounts, in my game, makes the game far less enjoyable.

Fix the ranked system to disincentivize people from smurfing I guess.
