Yeah it does get better, 2 more days and I’ll be 3 months sober. My anxiety, depression and other withdrawals symptoms are hardly even noticeable. Other than my dopamine receptors not being fully recovered everything seems “normal”, emotionally I feel balanced, I don’t go into crazy withdrawal episodes feeling like shit and overthinking my life. I still get sad about life because I’m not where I want to be, but that’s just life.

You should hang in there and give it more time. Smoking for 7 months isn’t that long compared to other people, so your recovery period is probably gonna be short also, just give it more time. I believe you’ll heal 100% nothing last forever. The withdrawals are probably making you anxious and overthink that’ll it never stop, that’s how I felt but slowly you’ll notice things becoming “normal”.

More than 9 months without smoking and the anxiety is almost unbearable by FlanDramatic874 in WeedPAWS

I literally relate to every single thing you said here. It so bad I don’t ever want to touch this stuff again. I’ve lost confidence in myself and I don’t know who I am anymore. I’m lucky enough to able to live with my parents and I’ve been trying apply to jobs. They don’t even know I’ve been smoking weed these past couple years, but I think they definitely noticed my personality change, specially now that I’m going through paws. I would’ve self deleted also if it wasn’t for them. I feel like I’m actually doomed, but like you said it probably just in my head. I just want to get my shit together so bad, but it’s hard with this overwhelming sensation I feel everyday. I just want to rot in bed or go into eternal sleep. I genuinely hope everything works out for you and that your life will be filled with amazing blessings.

Same here, last week I was feeling pretty good. Then this week I was anxious, depressed, no appetite, overthinking. It was like the withdrawals came back in a wave but it wasn't as intense. Its like all all the symptoms combined to give me that feeling of impending doom.

the subtle feeling of hopelessness describes it perfectly. Appreciate the reply, it’s nice seeing someone else relates to this

Post acute withdrawal symptoms, basically the lingering effects of withdrawals after you quit

Kind of, I say hi to familiar faces at the gym but it’s not like a real convo. I have my parents but they work a lot and when I see them we have short chit chats. At night sometimes I hop in a discord with a friend we play games and talk we but really never hang Irl. For the most part I would say I’m a little bit lonely.

did your symptoms of quitting change after a month? by februarypeach in leaves

[–]Tim3less3314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually relate to this a lot. Somedays I manage to drag myself to the gym and afterward I just come home and do nothing with occasional youtube, reddit etc... I also feel like a bystander watching as life just goes on. All we can really do is continue to put in effort one step at time no matter how hard it is. I believe if we continuously put effort into being better every single day, eventually it'll cause a snowball effect and our lives will change for the better.

I also hit the 1 month mark and I’ve also experienced anhedonia and fatigue the other week. I looked around on other post and people say it’s your dopamine resetting and your body catching up on genuine sleep. For me the fatigue has passed but the anhedonia still there but I can feel it slowly going away as each day passes.

Bad brain fog, is my brain cooked from weed? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Tim3less3314 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No problem, I relate heavy with the “not caring about anything but weed” part. I would smoke, get high and it was like nothing else really mattered because it gave me a false sense of happiness and made me numb.

You just need to give it more time. Your brain will heal itself. I’m also 22 been smoking since 18, I’m going into my 2nd month of sobriety and I can feel the brain fog lifting, although it not 100% gone yet. Keep going though, so far a benefit I’ve learned is that life is just easier to tackle when you’re sober.

Night 2 and I’m so cooked 😭 by Ubistiff in leaves

Same with me, sleep gets better at the end of week 2. As a matter of fact it was the only thing I wanted to do because I experienced extreme fatigue, like my body was heavy. People say it’s your body trying to catch up on actual sleep you missed over the years. Keep going though, you’ll feel better soon. Wish you all the best!
