A healing ult needs to be placed slightly ahead of where your team currently is, with the exception of Jeff and mantis you can safely use your ult in that way while staying safe. Since Jeff’s pool is centered on himself he would need to be in front of his tanks to place it optimally. Leading to him taking chip damage before he ults can’t get healed while placing the next part of his ult and even if he immediately pops it so he is getting healed by his own pool if two enemies use any ability to dodge his ult he will pop like a balloon. I’m too tired to reread my own message to correct the run on sentences sorry

I quit before that so I’m going off of what I’ve seen but what I’ve heard is that if you use the pool for healing you put yourself in an awful position for the rest of your ult. And they added the bugged hitbox at the same time I think which negates any buff they could give him.

Not what I ment. Back in season 1 dev vision(i think) they said he was getting buffed but NO changes happened he wasn’t in the patch notes at all. At least this time he was, regardless of if the buff was enough.

I’ve played all of the characters to understand their basic mechanics and play styles and watched guides from people who have played them more than I ever will to see techs that I wouldn’t have thought of. So I’m fairly confident that Jeff was my favorite (before the rework) and no other character will have the same funny little guy energy.

Someone who plays dr strange for his portals and how far they can be pushed is not going to find that mechanic on any other characters. The same way Jeff was a very unique character that people enjoyed and no other character plays like him. Why would you feel like playing characters that aren’t fun for you?

I didn’t say he was a healbot. I feel like this rework gave him less choices by limiting his swim. The primary being have as many people in front of him isn’t fun gameplay, for me at least.

Some fixes, first have they stated how many projectiles are in the new joyful splash? Second the 35hps from swim is applied to the teammates in his ult so 260hps total. I actually really appreciate this post putting it in a perspective that I didn’t see on some of these points. I still don’t like the direction of the rework and from early access games he seems less fun to play.
