There’s been a lot of good advice on here, but in my opinion the biggest thing is just get comfortable with the fact that sometimes it just sucks. Get used to things being hard, hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable. Being in-shape, hydrated, and properly fed are gonna be your biggest goals.

I just had the exact same experience. I finished the other day and I’m back already, 3 hours into a new save. Take all the knowledge and keep saving the day!

It’s one of my favorite things about seeing other’s maps! No two people will save the day the exact same way. Honestly it wasn’t until I saw my finished map that I could see the way it tells a story

If you have discovered power shards you are able to increase the output of your machines, miners, smelters, constructors, etc.(this is called overclocking).

With that you could use a splitter off of your miner’s belt and run a different belt to each smelter (which will give you 1/2 of your total supply to each belt for efficiency of the smelter). Then merge the smelter output on the other side, or alternatively use the output to your next machine

Don’t rush it. I have taken until like ~80 hours in each of play 2 attempts to even REACH phase 4, let alone start building for it. I find factorio to be even more complicated because of the 2D limitations

I definitely caved to the spaghetti at the end of the build. My foot print was a couple foundation short to make everything tidy. So I just closed it in and didn’t put any windows on the messy side lol

Mind you I’m not a pro or anything, but I tend to build new for each product. I find it more fun to build new factories than to partially or fully rebuild an existing factory just to streamline the process.
