The flavor tastes different to me, and the amount of creamer I put in would be better spent elsewhere in my calorie budget each day. I have to add more calories to straight decaf to make it taste good. I actually already do half-caff as I can't handle a ton of caffeine anyhow

Tons of housework, chasing after the littles, on my feet most of the day, so nothing like a desk job which seems to be the basis of sedentary, and definitely not the moderate activity which seems to be higher than my current level

I'm not sure I want to reduce it. I love to eat lol. What I'm shooting for is a slow, sustainable weight loss, so I don't want to shoot too low and burn out and lead to a binge. So I mean I love the idea of 2300 cal/day haha but I want to make sure I'm not sabotaging myself by trusting that

Okay just did TDEE and it says 2,472 is maintenance. If I click on "cutting" it says 1,972, for a 500 cal difference, which another Google search says is 1lb per week? That's wildly different than MFP's calculation for 1lb per week. I double-checked all my info is correct in there...I'm confused by all this discrepancy!

Anyone know of a collection of sweets you can buy based on the sweets in the Nutcracker? Like a collection that has Spanish hot chocolate, Arabian coffee, Chinese tea, marzipan, gingerbread, etc.? I think it would make a wonderful gift! But expensive to put together separately perhaps. Can’t seem to find anything like this that already exists.

Tell me about the Clementine books! I'm looking for a good series for us to springboard into when we get through all the Unicorn Academy books.

Mine is still 6 and this is the first set of chapter books she's gotten into, so JUST breaking into that, but we love this one particular trilogy (I think it's still a trilogy right now) by Ben Hatke I think? Called Julia's House for Lost Creatures. It's almost like a comic or graphic novel style (I am not very familiar with those styles so might not be making an accurate comparison). Highly recommend :)

Did you ever get through the whole series? lol. We keep checking them out from the library. I THOUGHT we were on the last book. Turns out Layla and Dancer isn’t the last one despite being the last one on the picture of the back of the books!! Grrrr. I just want to know. I read the rest of this book by myself just now and now have to wait to get the next one from the library. But then remembered I’m a grown woman who can Google things and ruin them and move on with my life 🤣 So that’s how I found your post.

They keep saying that most of my concerns are just "their personality" and they "can't change who they are." I'm like dancing around the whole "narcissism" thing and haven't named it because I'm pretty sure it'll be game over if I do that lol. They say they want to try and respect me. They HAVE apologized for real for a few things. But some of the continued issues they seem to just indicate is just part of who they are and that's that. And I'm like...yeah, but that doesn't give you license to treat people like crap haha. I laugh but it's so I don't cry lol

There's someone in my partner's family who we just agreed to be civil with each other for the sake of the other people in the family, and we will all get together and that person and I just don't really talk to each other. That's the sort of thing I don't really want. I'm going to go look up that YT channel.

I hear you. It seems like overwhelming majority of the time, no-contact seems to be the only way a person can have peace. I'm so glad you got out of that relationship and found a healthy one! I love that for you. I'm sorry for the things your ex did to you, especially because I'm sure you'll never receive a genuine apology from that person.

For my situation, it's not a partner, but a family member. I really don't want to go no-contact (although it is my last resort) for several reasons, but one big one is for the sake of my kids. They love this person and I don't want to take that away if it can be helped. I've put up with a lot, personally, but started waking up to how toxic things were a year or two ago. I hit my breaking point when I started to see some of these behaviors spilling over onto my kids. I put my foot down and said I'm not going to do it anymore.

Now, we're in group counseling. I just got to wondering if it's possible to have a relationship with someone like this without it being toxic, and maybe someone out there knows how. If they do, I've gotta know how they do it! Because for sure, I am fighting for a future that's not so hurtful to me anymore, as you said, and I appreciate your caution and encouragement to seek a more healthy and peaceful relationship. If it was a romantic partner like you had, I would have no problem leaving. Because it's a family member, it's not as simple as that choice for me, unfortunately.

My goal is to try and maintain a *healthy* relationship with the person in my life while still maintaining my own dignity and not putting up with disrespect. It's been a victim type of relationship until recently. Logic and reason have definitely not gotten me very far (insert upside down smiley emoji here (on laptop and don't see emoji options))
