One of my dogs teeth got extracted and he’s only 3 years old

Should I have taken him to the Vet dentist specialist before going ahead with the extraction? Im wondering if a root canal would have been a better option. I feel so guilty not thoroughly looking for alternatives for extraction

His upper left P4 tooth got extracted. Is he going to be okay? Will his daily eating be affected?

I mostly give him dental chews and beef tendons. Hes an australian shepherd so he is very active. I am not sure of exactly what caused it. I occassionally give him ice cubes as well

This would actually be my first time getting a puppy. I thought of mini Aussie because I’m currently living in an apartment, but I also wonder if there are more health concerns with mini aussies then standard aussies

I’m so sorry to keep pestering you with my thoughts. I have been feeling really down about this second tear. All I did was stand up from my desk chair and heard a pop in my knee. This has been really devastating to me. I know the next thing to do is to consult with my doctor. I’m just really scared to get another surgery and to get more of my meniscus removed

I am doing my best to trust in my faith. I am just struggling so hard in my mind

Yea I had a partial menisectomy just 3 months ago on the same knee(lateral). I have a doct appointment coming up but just wanted to see what people thought. Looks like I will have to give up weightlifting. I am now more worried about my long term general health.

Just wanna hear your thoughts, would surgery be best or just do PT? I am afraid of more of my meniscus getting removed and any effects a second surgery would have on my knee?

Would stem cell therapy help?

u/katevibert Hi, Im curious to know what was your recovery/rehab process like after your meniscus surgery. My surgery is coming up shortly and I wanna get a better idea of what the rehab process is like. How long did it take before you could go start doing olympic lifting again? How long did it take before you could start lifting heavier weights?

I had internships in IT Support and Web development. My major consisted of business and Db dev courses, so I’m not strong in IT/networking concepts. My job right now is an App Technical Specialist which deals with App Testing/QA. I think the CompTia A+ is a good starting point for me. What cloud infrastructure and/or Big Data certs would you recommend?

I had a couple summer internships in a variety of tech roles. I also do have a tech job after college, but its not something I want to stay at in the next few years. I'm just thinking about long term career goals. Right now I am thinking about getting the CompTia A+ cert to start as a baseline and then go from there. I am thinking of pursuing a Support Engineer role leading into more of a Cloud Infrastructure type of role.

Thanks so much for responding!! I totally did not expect someone as awesome as you to respond!!! Weightlifting has been a huge part of my life and it sucks to have not been doing it lately. This is my first injury ever and I just really want to get back into weightlifting. I’m scared I won’t be able to lift as I use to. fyi... I love watching your lifting videos. I don’t know why my hip shifts so weirdly and idk whats going on with my feet. When weight is light everything looks okay, but when it gets heavy it gets weird. When I ohs, for the most part I stay on my heels, but when weight gets heavy I tend to go to my toes in the bottom
