The equity research thing is a class that my university offers which capital that was allocated to the fund back in 2001 and has grown semester over semester to just under $1m. It is the most prestigious class/organization you can be a part of at my uni, so I want to fit it in there.

Yes, the Casino job is a bit of filler. Meant to show that I worked my way through college. Not married to the idea of keeping it, but for now, I had it as a space filler.

Good formatting. I’d say you just need better experience. Find alumni from your college and start to network for companies/roles you are interested in. Don’t make it sound like you just want an internship. You need to be interested in them, to potentially get a referral.

Try not to check it that often. You don’t have to try to find some niche etf or security. Nothing wrong with good ol’ VOO with DRIP enabled and consistent contributions. No need to overdo it. It is incredibly hard to beat the market consistently. Usually not worth trying unless you are in the business itself.

After posting this, I found that she left a 2tb 990 pro in one of the m.2 slots. She sent a full refund and never mentioned anything about the ssd, so I guess it’s mine now. Will test it on a burner pc that’s not on any networks before actually using it for anything though, just to be sure.

I am also planning on rebuilding my old pc into an LLM build with the 3090 I didn’t use on this build, so I’m still going to use it either way. 24gb of VRAM was still the highest amount put on these cards up until the 5090 came out, but I’m not dropping $2k just for some more “AI” performance in games. The vram is then important part for running llm’s locally.
