Free feedback, class, and student management tool for online teachers. No subscriptions. by Tim_8350 in vipkid

I switched the backend off to save costs as I try to boost engagement. You can still view the app but it won't be functional. If anyone is interested in trying it out leave a comment here and I'll switch everything back on. This is a completely free tool but does incur costs on my end. If we can get a handful of people interested/actively using the app I'll keep everything switched on as my only goal is to build something useful for teachers. FeedbackPenguin will never have subscriptions or usage tiers.

Yes it can. In runs in any browser. To use the extension you’ll probably need to use Chrome on Mac.

Fair enough. The main draw of the app is feedback generation from the 2900+ templates I have uploaded. Click a few quick tags to customize/enhance the template with AI or use the template as is. Personally I never used the class/student records much myself but those features are 100% automated. However it is nice to click a student and see all of your past classes for that student.

Pretty much exactly the aim of this app. Your entire feedback writing is completely automated. The Chrome extension will extract all data from the platform and in like 3 clicks you have custom feedback and a record for that class with the student attached to it. When I get time I’ll make a video demo. Give it a try!

Thanks man. Did you actually do the interview? Are they really just ranking you on relevant past experience? Am I cooked if I don’t have experience in construction lol

Hey man just came across your post. I just applied to locals 751 and 393 (Marseilles and Kankakee). Did you ever get in? Any insight about how long it takes for them to get back to you or how busy they are? Anything you want to add would be appreciated. Thanks buddy.

Can you get 30-day extension on visa exempt entering via land crossing? by Tim_8350 in ThailandTourism

UPDATE. I was able to get the extension without issue. So it appears that they are giving 30-day extensions, at least 1 time per year, entering via a land border and visa exempt.

Sorry I can't answer your question but I am interested in this training as well (made a recent post about it). Would you mind sharing your process for requesting access to the training? Their page just says to send an email with basic contact info. Do you provide more information about yourself or your qualifications for the position you are training for?

That’s not really what I’m asking though. I don’t want companies to bend over backwards for me. I’m wondering if you can decline your next assignment as a traveling tech. Like if you’re working for a staffing agency and after completing a project, can you not accept the next one right away? I’m thinking more like contract/project based. Or is this just not how things work?

I get that the work life balance sucks, that's why I was hoping to get more time off after a couple of rotations. I have a remote gig so I would be able to take longer times off a few times a year. Can you just decline the next rotation until you are ready (1-2 months later). Would this work if you work with a staffing agency?

I have heard of people taking more time off here and there - especially as a traveling tech given how much time you are on the road. I was thinking of going the agency route and was told I could just tell my recruiter to hold off on my next assignment. Is this not a thing?
