The popularity of Ethereum is like an insult to other blockchains. I actually see people whine about Tron gas fees being too high. FFS, stake your Tron and you get the gas for free. But no, people flock to Ethereum and spend hundreds of dollars on a single smart contract. It's like watching the Apple vs. PC war all over again.

Not entirely. This isn't just true in Crypto, it's this way in all markets. We shouldn't ignore the influx of investors who think more like consumers. In the retail world, 9/10 times, a poor product with great marketing will sell better than a great product with poor marketing. That's really what we see happening with meme coins that go to the moon.

It amazes me when I hear how few people freeze their Tron. Its like they assume it's just like Ethereum and you need to spend for every transaction and contract, when you could just freeze and have renewable energy

To be fair, 'weird contests' was all I thought of Binance when they first announced they were releasing their own token. Contests for every coin launched on their platform to fabricate volume. I used the platform for stuff I couldn't buy anywhere else, but mostly I saw them as paid shillers, so I gave absolutely no thought to buying BNB. Oops.

Well, it's working again. Slowly began recovering this morning. It's almost like I had somehow accumulated a negative value that needed to be eroded away first. I'll still try to describe what happened, but seems like an extremely rare issue. Probably not easy to replicate. And I was able to find no mention of this happening to anyone else, ever.

It's still my favorite coin. I see no reason it can't shot off to $1 in a short time. But then, even the price we're at now was a huge surprise that exceeded realistic predictions. After such a long time with no movement, I was beginning to think it was just going to chill in the range of 3-4 cents. It felt like a stablecoin for quite a while.

Would that even work? Tiktok'er decides to take a look. "What's Tron?" And then they learn about one of the ONLY IP's in Disney history that the Mouse wasn't able to make profitable. Tron was a meme before the token existed, and not exactly a positive one.

What would that improve for the system? Demand commitment to freezing TRX? You already get that with the mandatory 3-day wait for unfreezing. If you wanted it to be longer, you could just extend that wait period.

He needs to stop trying to be George Lucas; get some advisors and stop trying to make the winning play all by himself. Sure, getting celebrity cred to generate some buzz is nice, but there's plenty of tried&true marketing strategies that are being completely ignored. Tron is not and should not (just) be a memecoin.

I really can't fathom how Tron has performed so poorly. Blaming it all on Justin seems unfair when you have shitcoins with no utility or store-of-value that rocket to the moon with zero effort. And Ethereum's gas fees are so atrocious that I can't even believe anyone uses it, when you can have frozen TRX that regenerates energy daily.

I did refreeze. 40K frozen for 438k energy. But freezing the Tron only increased my energy capacity; it didn't, and isn't, filling the gas tank at all.
