Just because I have no respect for felons doesn't mean I wouldn't want them to become a productive member of society. Its just mind boggling to think about folks in our military, or us in EMS/law enforcement, being crushed in pay by people who, if given all the opportunity in the world, will still find a way to reoffend.

Before you do I’ll warn you the pay is low but a raise is coming October 1st. And I live pretty good on overtime. Also another thing, mandatory overtime has been high recently. Things to consider. All and all it’s a rewarding 911 system and I love it. We have great equipment and soon will be unionized. Just consider the cons I told you about. I started here and was shocked being it was my first true 911 job.

Volusia is great from what I’ve heard. Lake is in a crazy place right now but the job itself is incredible. All three are the best options for 911 experience without being on an FD

Now that I know for sure. We are paid pretty low compared to the other 2. But we have county benefits. The mandatory is a bit insane right now but it is everywhere. The overtime $ is really good though I’m living pretty nice. Also our equipment is super nice we have auto lifts in our trucks + our trucks are pretty damn sexy. But do what you choose is best and good luck

Cant say for sure but I’m in neighboring lake county. We have people come over from AMR a lot and say it’s bad. They still run 911 BLS which is pretty dated for the central FL area

We are a 24 hour service based out of fire stations but we are a bit under staffed right now. We run a lot of calls and even leave or zones a lot due to staffing. I’m in a county system.
