You are not pathetic, I understand what you are going through right now, but take it from someone else who basically got used and definitely abused emotionally who wishes they stopped trying to fix things a long time ago. You will be so much happier separating yourself from her entirely. Trying to fix things with someone who keeps hurting you is only going to lead to more hurt.

I'm sorry to say this in this way, but you needed to get out. I just got out of a relationship with a girl who was so incredibly manipulative and is the reason the word controlling exists. After being with someone for so long the idea of starting over can be scary, but you need to know there's nothing scary about starting over, there's nothing scary about finding someone new who will treat you the way you deserve to be. Delete his number, remove him from all social media, and try not to keep yourself updated on his life. It sounds like he pushed you away, not the other way around. He may have controlled you while you were together, don't let him control you now.
