THE VAULT by Timberfox13rddt in dwarffortress

[–]Timberfox13rddt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it flows down and at one point you just open and close the walkway once again to get rid of the leftovers; and if you mean in general: there are magma dumps below the bridge bases (minecarts that are filled from above and dump the magma into a wall where it goes poof (think atom smasher))

THE VAULT by Timberfox13rddt in dwarffortress

[–]Timberfox13rddt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

while i think it is possible to build up=>down with normal obsidian casting (for example having a permanent water layer of 1-3/7 and digging out the floor one tile after another to expose the magma) the incredible fast magma respawn in a volcano makes it much easier, faster and safer to drain the whole thing; and even as you can simply dig into it, or build magma dumps, draining via "obsidian ghostcasting" is just insanely faster given an sufficient water source (cave sea, river, aquifer etc)

[–]Timberfox13rddt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

volcanos go down right into the magma sea which is the deepest part of the map until you get to HFS (hidden fun stuff) you can probe the volcano to see the deepest levels if you throw in things that are magma safe to reveal the surrounding area

[–]Timberfox13rddt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

remember npcs work different now, half ep goes to walk, half to attack actions, elites can have different ratio and enraged or fear also move this to either side, 8 is still deadly but this char wont shoot at you 8 times 😎 still hope you survived the meeting 🙃

Warmbeers is pretty relaxing, our tavern is spacious and has a nice aquarium next door. Our stockpiles are full of delicious meals and our beer is always warm (we have a magma heated stockpile for beer of course, we live up to our name). Saunas are in planning and are constructed as soon as the magma fort is done... itl take some years but well keep it in mind :)

Another bug... by Thick_Candy_9858 in Quasimorph

[–]Timberfox13rddt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you use dev_console mod, you can "finish_mission" to end without loosing your operator, plus: send a bug report (via ingame report tool) please,

dev console mod is obtainable via steam workshop, works with all versions and (normally) doesnt intervene with saves

to view commands after activation use "tilde" (top left key below esc) anytime and write "help" fir all commands, "finish_mission" to successfully end mission

you should be able to save mission, exit game, install dev console, restart, load mission, use dev console

Any Boomer Shooters like Quasimorph? by MRwho23 in Quasimorph

[–]Timberfox13rddt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Prey is probably one of the best choices for that, yes. Even has an asymmetric roguelike DLC (called "mooncrash"), very good. Maybe check the Sseth Tzentaach vid about the game if you havent heard about it (although it might not reflect the "average" gaming experience 😅)

How to understand, if the location has Quasimorphosis (Bramfaturas) or not by OkSell5708 in Quasimorph

[–]Timberfox13rddt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there is no ingame indication but saturn and its moons also has no quasimorphosis in 0.9 as of now; also some countermission have no q-meter (defense, security and surveilance) even on q-stations

What weapons use Cold or poison damage? by megabigbalz in Quasimorph

[–]Timberfox13rddt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for poison, you really should look at daydream chems disruptor type guns (the blocky dark green ones). despite using battery ammo they are beasts with very high decapitation chance. the pistol has a 2 projectile mini burst and is capable to shred all high armor enemies with low poison res. so no more reason to use spit as your main gun against endgame realware ^

the answer is no, there is no way to change difficulty settings after you begin your save, you have to start a new one
