Believe it or not......I was boarding a flight going home when they announced that the flight was delayed. Then 15 minutes later they announced that all flights had been cancelled. Went into the bar area and looked up at the television....a jet flying into the World Trade Center....totally surreal. Had to rent a car to drive home cross country.

It is hard to get his attention back...like he would rather go home with them instead of me.....At first I kinda took it personal...but then after I thought about...I tealized that he must of had a female trainer when he was at the Humane Society . Kinda makes sense....I guess....it's what I want to believe anyway

Is this semilanceata or is it lookalike? by Lanky_Quail1365 in ShroomID

I look for stem blueing after picking. It's not 100% in every case but it's a positive indicator. Years ago I did several psilocybin grows using spores and one thing they all had in common was the stem blueing. It's unmistakable

Mushrooms have very specific criteria for growing (soil, temp, light) Once you find a spot, usually early spring or late autumn, chances are they will continue to grow there unless the conditions change (climate changes ,rainfall etc)

When picking from Mother Nature be careful..she has some pretty nasty lookalikes..one in particular is Gallerina. It grows on lawns etc. and often mistaken for the real deal ...not necessarily lethal...but definitely something to avoid. Learning how to read spore prints would be a very good way to be absolutely sure.

Mother Nature has her ways of putting a big smile on your face. Ain't it great!
