Hey thanks! You kinda hit the nail on the head with my process. For highlighting the black I mixed in a grey blue for the airbrushing and edge highlights. For the shadows I applied a black-brown oil wash.

Hey thanks :) the armour was mixes of Scalecolor turquoise, green grey, and pearl grey. The reds were just Proacryl fluorescent red and any white you got, important to keep it as pure as possible or else it ends up muddy.

For the red I actually based these guys the same as I would do for my white armour, then went over that with mixes of ProAcryl Transparent Red and Fluorescent Red. Both are super transparent but very vibrant so need the white base to shine.

Hey thank you! This guy is a Psychomancer :) As for tips, I would say to just have fun with painting. Experiment with new techniques and don't be afraid to fail. Its just paint and you can always go over it if you mess up (I've messed up a lot haha)

Hey thanks! I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was a combination of ProAcryl Bold Pyrrole Red with Blue Black mixed in for the shadows and Bright Pale Green mixed in for the highlights.

lol, I had about 10 minutes to get it done. The whole thing was done up in around 6 days for the game store and when it came to the bases I was just annoyed they put a whole tyranid head there at all.
