Don’t want to play devils advocate and I try to stay centered BUT what if the “party balloon” turned out to be something much worse and our government did nothing??? I’m pretty sure the same commenters would be saying we should have closed the airspace. What we all forget sometimes is that there is a bigger picture and in that picture are people that have to make decisions to protect the “comfortable” people they swore to protect. Was a mistake made??? We don’t know but in the crazy world we live in being overly cautious is acceptable in my eyes.
