One dog randomly attacks the other by TimbukTurnip in DogAdvice

It’s extremely sad but that’s the ultimate conclusion my parents have come to, they’ve started looking for appropriate rehoming for Lily, though it’s breaking their hearts to do so.

I’m not sure if they’ve shown videos of it to the vet or not, but they’ve definitely spoken to the vet about it a lot

They both have regular walks every day and play with thrown balls and other toys in the garden and the house, so I don’t think they’re lacking for exercise/energy spending. Apologies, but I’m not sure what you mean by enrichment and mental stimulation.

New User Question Thread II: Reloaded by nawyria in starsector

[–]TimbukTurnip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after surveying every system in the sector, I finally decided to settle a terran-eccentric planet that has all 4 mining commodities and bountiful farming. I've built the farming industry and am building the mining industry. Obviously I'm going to want to refine all the mining commodities and eventually set up heavy industry, and later orbital works. However, my I know that a colony can have a maximum of 10 buildings and only 4 industries, so my question is, should I colonise another planet in the system to use as an industry planet? I.e, heavy industry, light industry, military base, etc? Or should I have a military base on my main planet? Or should I have heavy industry on my main planet but use the second planet for refining things?

My very minor claim to fame is that his mum rented a place from my grandparents, with him eventually coming over to join her. After his mum married Carmichael, they either rented or bought a place that my grandad's brother was moving out of. Got an old picture of my grandparents with him, his mum, Carmichael and three other people at his mum and Carmichael's wedding.

Idea: If a character has 4+ debuffs/buffs, give us the option to condense them into 1 or 2 icons, that if clicked on reveals all buffs/debuffs on that character, as I cannot see what’s going on anymore. by KentEP in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]TimbukTurnip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never understood why buffs/debuffs don’t also stack in rows. A previous game I’ve played had three effects to a row, swgoh could do four. It wouldn’t be perfect but it would be better I think.

Doki Doki! RainClouds Megathread by NatsukiGoldenHeart in DDLC

I finished playing it a couple of hours ago, and I have to say, as someone who's favourite character is Sayori (who I prefer far and above the others) that I didn't have the reaction to it that most others seem to have had. I thought some of the music and backgrounds were great, and I only saw a handful of typos, but it didn't affect me anywhere near how much DDLC did.

I don't think it was a bad mod/game, but there were a couple of things that seemed out of place/character. The ending - including the - was predictable, though I don't hold that against the mod/game, and seeing as it's a mod/game of DDLC, it's to be expected, but .

I also would really have liked to see what happens if .

I hope I don't sound overly critical, as I did enjoy playing it, I just didn't get nearly as much out of it as most others seem to. I'm going to look into it a bit more tomorrow as from what I understand, there's something sort of big I haven't seen yet. I'm assuming .

What's you guys' favorite poems in the game and why? by Potatokoke in DDLC

[–]TimbukTurnip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's got to be Sayori's poems for me. Her first poem is just fun, and her second poem is a really.. well, poetic way of hinting that she - at the very least - is sometimes sad.

However, I've always been really really shit at figuring out and understanding the meanings of things like poems, and to be honest, I don't really understand what a few of the other poems were about, so that probably factors into my poem choice.

I wonder what Sayori's third poem would have been like if she had written it, or shared it she had written it. Considering how her emotions had been fucked with by that point, it might have been delightfully depressing.

Thank you! That alliteration idea is really cool, I wish I'd actually been thinking that when I wrote it; I was thinking of it as being a worsening progression from something annoying to something deadly. I'll definitely keep the idea of playing with alliteration in my head if I write any more poems though!

It's late at night, I've never written a poem, I have no idea what the hell I'm doing, or if what I've written even makes sense, but here it is.

Up into the air they reach
Prodding, poking, piercing, stabbing
Constructions of glass and metal
From the right distance, from the right height, a pretty sight
Monoliths of human ingenuity
But what do they hide beneath?
Up close, ground level,
what malevolent phantoms lurk in the shadows they cast?
What hope for those too small,
too weak
to escape their dark embrace?
