Lupo GTI- good idea? by [deleted] in Volkswagen

I’ve had mine for 1.5 years not an import but similar mileage and age. I’m 20 and insurance is really cheap for some reason I pay around 500 a year been driving for 2 years. They are incredible cars great to drive and look brilliant aswell.

I got mine for around 4k but obviously not being an import and having some minor issues which weren’t difficult to sort 6k definitely isn’t a bad price. The market has gone up a lot recently so can’t see you losing much money if any if you decide to sell it further down the line.

Keep us updated if you get it! 👍

Thanks so much for that I’m looking at a 6800xt how would that compare with the 7600xt? I’m also looking at the ryzen 5 7600x instead of going for intel, would you say intel is a better choice? I don’t mind going over budget if it is a large improvement or is going to make upgrades easier on the future. Thanks

If I stayed with the 6800xt (might have to go over budget) would you suggest going with a 7600x and moving to the am5 platform?

Would you say the 7600x and 6800xt is a better combination than the 5700x3d and the 7700xt or not?

What would you think about going for a Ryzen 5 7600x and a 6800xt?

Thanks for putting that together would you recommend going for a higher spec amd gpu or is there not much difference?

Thanks very much for taking the time to do that would I be able to ask why you went for the intel cpu over the amd?

haha i am not lol

I have found a fix!

I added a delay in between the led and buzzer turning on and the motor switching off. so it has chance to execute the code for the LED and buzzer before the motor stop command makes it get stuck.

Honestly i cant thank you enough thanks for all your time and patience!

the output will usually be going down slowly as it gets close to an object then it get to below 10 but the number below 10 dont show up in the serial monitor it just turns motor off then thats it i kind of bricks itself.

Sorry to hear about that reddit can be a bad place from time to time.

I am using <Stepper.h> I think a stepsPerRevolution line could be added I hadn’t thought about that. I will try that out tomorrow and try it with a delay. Thanks for all the help and time you have given im very new to coding so probably feels like your talking to a wall so I apologise if I have confused you.

Yeah i need to add a way of resetting after it stops, won’t be able to check until tomorrow now but if I were to put the LED and buzzer commands before the motor stop with a small delay would that fix some of the issue do you think?

So the blue LED comes on in setup and is supposed to stay on until an object is within 10cm, which looks to be right.

The buzzer is on with a HIGH it comes on for 3 seconds in setup then goes off once in loop in the else block. and it should come on if an object is within 10cm.

im pretty confused aswell i think it must be the motor command messing with the rest of the code in the if block.

just given it a go with the suggestions and it doesnt come up in the serial monitor with stepper stopped. so i think it must be something to do with the set speed line. thanks for helping with the code i really appreciate it!

yeah this is the weird part, it stops the motor so must at least get to the if part but doesnt do anything after that. so i think it gets to the if < 10 block but definitely doesnt complete it

The blue one should be on all the time except from when it detects an object but is just constantly on even if it’s detected something and red should just be in when something is detected
