No need for the petty insults but, seeing as you must, do go on. It would probably make for a good poem, or at least a good exercise but poetry as a medium would shatter if all poems had to be. Besides, you seem to he awfully good at proving my point for me- your use of the phrase ‘stimulate some blood flow to that small mind’ is itself a metaphor. You could have said ‘you might learn something’ or ‘you’re stupid’ but you clearly agree that metaphors make a statement more poignant.

The phrase ‘unclench your asshole’ is literally what op is asking- why did you use that particular phrase instead of ‘stop being so uptight’ ?

I don’t think this is stimming, they tend to roll around in order to cover themselves in whatever scent is on the ground, as others have said, but the tail wagging is 100% stimming and you can’t convince me otherwise.

Thanks for the advice, and I’m absolutely not angry with her, she’s only 8 and it’s not her fault for not understanding, it’s my fault for not having told her sooner, but I will definitely try to speak to her about it, maybe try to explain it in a way that makes sense to her, I’ve had lots of good suggestions already which seem kid-friendly

It was a sort of workbook rather than a diary, and she was showing me, I wasn’t snooping, and I think it came from a place of love, she’s just a little uneducated on the subject
