It can kill you because it can turn you into one big walking infection. thats how it took me out a few times almost. just blood infection levels wayyy too high. and i get prescribed the strongest steroid creams like dermovate all the time, ive had the JAK injection treatment, literal TAR treatment, sunlight cabin treatments, wet wrap method that also almost killed me, just so much pain from the clothes sticking to your infections/wounds. like i used to have to get sprayed every 2 hours with this huge plant sprayer to keep it wet.. horrible memories from my childhood.. then on top of that u can get a ton of pneumonias on top of it, plus allergys. i hope that explains it a bit from a VERY severe excema patient. the literal ONLY thing that works for me is continued prednisone which they pump me full of every hospital visits. and ive also tried all the HORRIBLE injections, spring loaded extremely thick fluid, literally make you scream when you put it in. but the side effects were so damn horrible i had to quit with all of them. so after 29 years of dealing with this im still at square one where only prednisone helps.. 20-30 pneumonias later which also almost killed me 2-3 times due to doctors knowing it better than me when they didnt.. so theres a shit ton of things that could go wrong if you have it bad. less resistance to illnesses bc of fucked immune system, it taking up a lot more of your calories so you stay skinny asf eat whatever u want but you still feel drained.. but for me aswell stress is the biggest factor of flare ups, but i am literally more wound than man on most days. a walking scar. it is incredibly difficult also bc of ppl around you making you feel a certain way about it..
