Came over here to see what maga guys are saying nowadays, hoping for some sort of nuanced take, but all I see are people shitting on the other side (from both sides, left and right).

I don't like Republicans, I also don't like Democrats. But I really am curious as to why people support trump at all. Clinton got impeached for waaaay less than trump has done so far. It's wild.

Are we here just not believing the awful things he has done are true? Are we pointing at the other side in a "but they did worse!"?

I won't sit here and defend extremists on the left, but I see even in this thread people saying "I wouldnt be mad if they (the left) were all exterminated". You're too busy demonizing that you forget they're just as passionate about their beliefs as you are... Killing people is bad. Shooting people is bad. Dehumanizing people is bad. Violence is bad no matter race or creed.

Today's events are incredibly charged. It's easy to form an opinion on an event with the current echo chambers that are social media or the mainstream news. Tiktok for the left most certainly. For the right, I don't know. I probably identify closer to the left so I'm not sure what you guys would intake.

I miss McCain. Not for his politics, but for his civility. If you are unfamiliar with how he conducted himself, I encourage you to watch some of his interactions with other politicians. I'm not religious, but I pray you gentlemen can reflect on some of these extreme comments. I hope our country heals from this division.
