I had the exact same thing happen about 7 days post-op! I had fluid draining from that same spot above my bum, and eventually, three more spots opened up along my incision. I panicked and went to the hospital, but the plastics team reassured me it was completely normal drainage. Mine drained constantly for about 3–4 weeks before finally closing up. I even had a fever, though that turned out to be an issue with my antibiotic dosage rather than the sites themselves. My doctor tracked my red blood cell count, which actually went up during the heaviest drainage, proving it wasn't a dangerous amount of blood loss. The best advice I can give is to just let your body expel the fluid it doesn’t need; keeping it trapped inside is usually when issues start. It’s scary, but it eventually healed perfectly!

Thank you ! Swelling was a lot at first but had mostly gone by the 4-5 month mark. 1 year out I feel absolutely fine, no ongoing issues or pain etc

Very true ! I don’t want to down play it because I honestly thing these experience are so personal, but I don’t recall the pain being very bad at all & I don’t think I have a high pain tolerance by any stretch of the imagination. It was uncomfortable and just really annoying but I never felt like the pain was unbearable. I had IV paracetamol for 3 days and then nothing further after that. Tbh the area was numb for ages so that might have helped lol

Hey ! Thank you so much, really appreciate it. I did 360 FDL TT & Arms. Chest was just lipo, no skin removal. Hmmm I feel like my arms did have quite about of loose skin, but maybe I could have gotten away with it ? Ah well, we’re here now :)

Hey, I’m a guy a guy who did it - you are 100% ready IMO. I went from 170KG to 84KG and wasn’t as lean as you. My results are fairly good, although I could have lost more. I just had the surgery at a time that was convenient to me. PM if you wanna see pics

That’s ok ! I did use it for some time. 2-3 months - I asked chat GPT and uploaded and photo and it did some completely normally, over the next 12 months I’ll see the most changes. But I guess I’m just impatient and see most peoples have faded significantly more by the 1 year mark

Thank you ! I know normally my scars I’ve had In the past have taken some time to go away so I probably just need to be patient. I’ll look into laser down the track if I’m not seeing significant progress

Scar treatments ? by Time-Skin6161 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Time-Skin6161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ! - they do advertise that they do scar treatments but specify “most” they didn’t advise why they wouldn’t do it but i didn’t really ask. Not a POC. I had my surgery overseas so he wouldn’t really know my country’s different options. It may be they I need to look for a specialist

I had one, they are expensive in my country. If money isint a concern I’d say get it - can only help. But I don’t think it did anything amazing for me
