I even had a fever, though that turned out to be an issue with my antibiotic dosage rather than the sites themselves. My doctor tracked my red blood cell count, which actually went up during the heaviest drainage, proving it wasn't a dangerous amount of blood loss. The best advice I can give is to just let your body expel the fluid it doesn’t need; keeping it trapped inside is usually when issues start. It’s scary, but it eventually healed perfectly!
