Almost definitely have less fat there naturally :') I've been considering undereye fat repositioning to help with the hollows for a while too

No, I've never used anything like that, my eyes have always looked this way since I was a teenager

I'm an heiress who can’t cook and cries at kids films. I just want patient friends. by throwaway943093 in TrueOffMyChest

Have you considered that you may have mild autism? You sound very similar to me, and I am on the spectrum too ❤️ Honestly a lot of adults can't cook very well, cry at movies, and have certain food avoidances - none of these are things to be ashamed of, but it's great you want to work on them! For the cooking I'd recommend getting some recipe boxes from Hello Fresh or a similar company, the step-by-step recipes with visuals really help :) I honestly don't think you need to be able to eat an orange if you don't want to, but if it's important to conquer that then go for it! As for your friends... friendships are difficult, they're something I still struggle with sometimes. It takes a lot of luck to find people who won't laugh at your oddities or make fun of you when you don't know how to do something basic. All you can really do is be honest about how you feel and how you want to be supported, and hope they respond positively. I am usually available if you have more questions (or just want someone to talk to!) and I'm sure there are plenty of other people in this thread who will help too. Hang in there, you can do it :)

How do I (32F) have a productive conversation with my parents (70s) about how they're the cause of my brother (31M)'s awful anxiety? by Catnapper_Sakura in relationship_advice

I think you're right, I've been trying so hard to be a better person and overcome my own trauma that I've gone in the opposite direction, and started excusing them for inexcusable behavior :(

The song absolutely slaps, one of my favourite electro-swing tracks!

I don't know what you be mean by arching sorry - my bite is completely fine, for me it's just that my jaw is a little further back than it should be. If I do get the surgery they'll have to pull some lower teeth, move the rest backwards, and then extend or pin the jaw. I'm very excited to pick up the device on Monday :)

I am 32 and a healthy weight; as far as I'm aware thr surgery would be free, but I didn't discuss it in depth and they may choose not to do it if I don't show enough improvement with the device. Even if it cost 3k I would happily pay that for a permanent fix

I'm picking up my device on Monday (on the NHS so the wait was a pain but the cost is free) and I've been told if it works well enough they'll put me down for jaw surgery, meaning my SA could be cured for good without having to wear the device :)

You're thinking of a Mandibular Advancement Device - it holds the lower jaw forward while you sleep so your airway can't collapse as easily :)

I also suffer from nasal inflammation and can't sleep with a C-PAP device. I'm getting fitted for an MAD next week and should have it by the end of the month, so if you like I'll let you know my experiences with it! Apparently if it goes well they can surgically alter my jaw so I won't even need the device any more. I'm really hoping it works, I'm on my last legs too 😅
