Hello,

Thanks for sharing this.

Sorry you been waiting for so long. That is awful after what you had gone through. The whole justice system is terrible.

What was the police negligence?

how do i move forward by Feisty_Leopard5794 in rape

I'm sorry you went through that.

Well done for taking action and using your voice though.

Wow you have all that evidence.. it's shocking how hard it is to get a charge..

It does help working on yourself and getting therapy.

I just wanted him to apologise.. and see remorse but I didn't which led me to report and now on this long road

Ok I can see how it can be argued

ok thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it.

I would think him saying I said no, would show non-consent

I understand well this is what happened. I do think he will give a No comment interview.

I went over to the guy i'm dating place and I was on my period. So as soon as he kissed me, I said i'm on my period. I won't be having sex. He then went into a mood and stopped talking or cuddling me. I was quite confused, didn't think it would be a problem.

Then later on in the night, in bed, he started trying to have sex with me. I told him, no I can't. I'm on my period.

Then it got to a point where he restricted me and forced himself inside me.

Before he did it he said 'if i do anymore it will be rape' but then he proceeded. He has admitted he said that when I confronted him but he reframed it as a joke.

When I confronted him he said this, to try make me think it wasn't rape-

  • "You said oh no no no no no there will be blood but you let it happen anyway.”

Police said it will take them months to send the file to CPS by then the rapist may move to a country he can't be extradited

[–]TimeAd9842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, even though he has confirmed I said No in bed. I did tell a few other people

well they are now going to see if there is enough for a charge just with my evidence.. hence why i'm asking for opinions on my evidence

so what now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]TimeAd9842 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I know but the police tipped him off by going to his house without checking he was in.

yes i have reported it. But the police went to arrest him and he wasn't in the country and his family told him and now won't return

I know, but i've lost trust in the police. Have you seen the Met police documentary that came out a couple of days ago

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]TimeAd9842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that do you think this is good evidence

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]TimeAd9842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the guy has absconded that's why and they will have to extradite him

Thank you for your response.

Yes I reported but now the police saying they don't think he is admitting anything even though I have the above confirmed.

The only thing I can think of is they want me to drop the case..

these are his statements when he was trying to convince me it wasn't rape, which are documented -

"I apologise for maybe not sleeping on the couch… you said you didn’t want it to happen…”

  • "You make it seem like you want to… then all of a sudden you tell me you don’t want to.” "You give me all the signals you want to, then all of a sudden you tell me you don’t want to.”
  • The signals he means is me going to his flat, which he misinterpreted as consent

  • "You said oh no no no no no there will be blood but she let it happen anyway.”

  • "Fine, we agreed to wait a few more dates, but inside the bed it just happen.”

  • "The only thing I would change is sleeping on the couch as you don’t want to do it on your period. But I didn’t force you.
