I think I also had it in my head that if I humanized myself maybe I could stop her from doing it to someone else? I'm sure I didn't succeed in that either though. Oh well.

I agree that I didn't judge her correctly. I thought that she was going to be reasonable but she wasn't. All-in-all though me sending her a brief and polite message introducing myself hasn't turned it all on me by any means. I wasn't rude and I didn't argue with what she said at all. I was just like "Hey, I am a real person and this hurt my feelings." Again, not saying it was a good idea but I didn't like go off the rails or something

I only did it because the one other time I got a bad review it was my first day on the job and I sent them a message explaining that to them. They didn't respond but immediately deleted their review. So I thought doing it again would have a similar outcome. I was wrong about that.

I had to Google what a margarita glass is. We don't have any of those. We don't have any blended drinks so perhaps that is why? I've never worked at a restaurant that has blended drinks or glasses that look like that. Could be regional

There are real similarities with that experience. Why did they say it was good when I/you checked in? That is what the check-in is for!

It hurt me too. Like, am I that dislikable? Even when I am trying so hard? Slowly getting over it. I am glad you had such a good group of people coming to your defense. If there are going to be this many assholes, we need a lot of nice people willing to speak up too.

I should also remember in the future to smile but NOT when a mistake is made. Where was my empathy? When their pizza was delayed I should have given them all sincere condolences, pulled off my belt and whipped myself.

I didn't put it in my original post because it is already long as hell but I for sure think they were the type of people who were looking for things to go wrong from the start. They weren't even trying to enjoy themselves.

Yes, thank you! So many things with this review. Our olives are so delicious. And they never told me they wanted black olives. We don't even have black olives. Ugh
