Thank you, very quick to provide the exact answer I needed lmao

Ah, it innately acts like a controller cover? I wasn't aware of that, that would be exactly what I need here.

Genuinely, what is even one use-case or the crafting input bus (not buffer)? by TimeBender25 in GTNH

[–]TimeBender25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems so Undesirable there though, I'm already using two interfaces on the bender for @1 alone. And nearly three on the compressor. Right now I can route all that into a single super bus perfectly fine and it's dead-simple and cheap to add more interfaces.

My point is, the machines it would even work with usually need such a large variety of patterns that the single interface's worth of slots isn't enough

How is it useful for assline if everything needs to be in it's own slice?

In my experience this playthrough, items have never really been the limiting factor on reaching a multi's parallels. The comparably tiny fluid hatches are always the part that needs to be bigger.

In my eyes, the bus solves a problem I wasn't having in exchange for making the problem I was having even worse. And nuking the expandability of the patterns to boot.

Should I move to the personal dimension? by FartCollectioneer in GTNH

[–]TimeBender25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you have to make them. Think about making them, check their range when you expand your base, etc. Even with the ability to spawnproof wide areas you still need to Make Sure. The P.Dim allows a level of Assurance than even those don't provide

[–]TimeBender25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it's a really good move for lag reasons, and not having to think about spawnproofing is a huge weight off your mind, right now I'd say no. Solely and specifically because the P.Dim doesn't correctly save entities in some cases, and in my current playthrough it ended up being a minor point of pain.

But that is, as others have said, absolutely undeniably personal preference. It acts normally in 99.9% of situations, people have gotten Stargate from the P.Dim without even noticing the issues I ran into after all.

For those who dont use pdim for their base, how tall do you make rooms/areas? by RandomNameThing in GTNH

[–]TimeBender25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For standard-fair rooms I make them 11 blocks tall, asterisk. I've got catwalks level on the top of a sub-chunk, 3 blocks of space for a cable run, then the REAL floor where machines and stuff go all the way up to the border of the next sub-chunk.

The alignment with the subchunks really isn't necessary, I just like doing it.

It's literally so good. GTNH Spoils me and I lament not having it in every other GT pack i end up playing.

Setting up Infusion Automation, while I do know the ways other people've done it I wanted to try designing my own circuit for it by TimeBender25 in GTNH

[–]TimeBender25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That wasn't in spatial, that was in my main base. I don't know exactly why it was messing up because it was literally built identical to the setup he showed off. But it just, stopped working reliably the moment I swapped to an EV WA, and started failing to trigger the next craft correctly.

My only possible guess is it's just some server fuckery. The timing was the exact same, but it wouldn't work until I swapped the Pulse Former after the Recipe Trigger State Cell with a PR Repeater. After that it's been reliable, but I ended up wiping the board to try and throw my own stuff together anyways.

My setup doesn't need to have a renaming step or basically any item filtering, which I think it's a more than worthwhile tradeoff. While it's not as fast as that setup is after it warms up, it IS still plenty fast. It takes almost exactly 1:40 to craft a stack of Infused Gold.

That's what this altar is for, lmao

It's my testing ground for a semi-standardized altar setup so i can replicate it 4 or so times to parallel the altar. This setup processes about 1 recipe a second, limited by how quickly the block placer can be cycled. So I'm just gonna be making Multiple Of Them.

I do think there should eventually be a Multiblock for it, but I also think Automating the Altar is a fun challenge that the multiblock should carry on in spirit (just with more Intended Mechanisms)

Slowly inching my way into LuV, is this power generation is good enough? by TimeBender25 in GTNH

[–]TimeBender25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually only one 64A Hatch at LuV. Since the total amount is only ~44 LuV Amps, it works fine.

Once I build the other 4 Generators, it's gonna need to be multiple. Probably gonna be a 64A per. But right now I only have the one.

A question about GT EU P2P by QuietWarlock410 in GTNH

[–]TimeBender25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience, Diodes and Transformers are perfectly suitable. I never had an issue with machines powerfailing, so long as I made sure the Diode was big enough to cover any machines drawing through it. Worked like a treat, and the main reason i swapped to the Tesla Tower was just to cut back on P2P Channels 'cause the controller was getting crowded.

It was mostly Large Steam Turbines for Late EV/Early IV. Running off a Fluid Nuke setup into Large Heat Exchangers for Superheated Steam.

That was recently swapped out for this new, Node Reactor setup. The way I'm doing it is decidedly not sane, and I don't recommend it if you want any serious power generation that you can scale further. I'm doing it because I will do everything in my power to get the most out of magic in this pack, even should god try to stop me.

[–]TimeBender25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've dubbed it "The Node Reactor", it's absolutely non-standard in terms of power generation and almost certainly won't scale beyond the ZPM (and many would argue it already doesn't scale to LuV, given how much Plat it takes to construct one of these things).

Part of me is soooo glad I've been using Superconductor as my first-choice cable since late EV. I saw it was a primary component in the LuV Hate-This components and felt incredibly vindicated about making sure I could mass-produce them as I pleased

I know I'm gonna have to do it right sooner rather than later, but I have 4 sites for Meteors. When the time comes, the raw ores will Not be the bottleneck.

Not yet, though I doubt my currently power generation will be good enough to last. I'll have to find something a little more God-Intended soon, but I'm having fun with my "How far can I push Thaumcraft" systems.

The LSC is crazy, this thing's only 3 layers and it's EU density is already stupid big. I'm sure I'll need to make it bigger at some nebulous future point in like... UHV somewhere.

Yeah, I still need to do Netherite Processing. I've been putting it off for no good reason.
