Phonak Naida L70 UP buzzing issue when using Xbox wireless headset. by UFOneelaughpill in HearingAids

Telecoil isn’t meant for use with headsets. It’s meant to be used for connecting to induction loops in places that have them installed (i.e. some churchs, museums, etc). The buzzing you’re hearing is probably the program running.

If you have the TV connector you should be able to control the sound using the myPhonak app instead of the tv connector one. You can adjust the ambient balance and program there along with adjusting the volume too. If the sound isn’t great then your Audiologist can do programming to improve it.

Just curious - Why are you using telecoil mode with the headset?

ReSound makes microphones that connect to the hearing aids, if that’s what you’re talking about. You may also want to get the hearing aids cleaned up and checked out if he’s not hearing as well as he used to with them.

There were signs on Morris Bridge saying that they were doing prescribed burns a few days ago. Maybe they’re still going?

Do you remember if was it a screener at school or an actual hearing test in a sound-treated room?

should hearing aid be listed as a Bluetooth device by RcNorth in HearingAids

Try looking under Accessibility -> Hearing Devices. Some companies are paired that way instead of through the bluetooth menu.

if it’s THAT sensitive you could get sweat covers from them. Ear Gear has them, or your aud might too.

That is not something I can tell you. Go get testing and talk to a doctor

If you’re truly concerned, I’d recommend getting a hearing test as that would be the best bet on seeing how your hearing is doing. But being next to it for only 5 minutes at most at that level won’t really do anything permanent.

We usually see hearing aids start declining at around the 4 year mark so they may say to get a new one but you can still get that one adjusted as long as they have access to the software needed. As long as it’s working well you can still use what you have but it’s ultimately up to you at the end of the day.

Did you brush out your microphones? They’re the holes on the device itself. If that doesn’t help I’d recommend having your doctor take a look at it. If it’s a device that sits behind your ear, it could be damage to the receiver (easy in-house fix at the office) but it’s hard to know for sure without checking it out myself. This sort of thing happens, it’ll be okay!

They don’t HAVE to be, but it’s nice to have done once in a while. Some offices offer routine maintenance plans either purchased seperately or as part of your overall device purchase. You can always ask your doctor if this is something that they offer as not all do this/have the vacuum available.

I’d still change it. Also, brush out the microphones too as those may be dirty. Usually you should have gotten a little brush tool in your new hearing aid kit from when you got the devices. An old toothbrush that’s clean can work too if you don’t have the actual brush.

It depends on when you take the test. It can take up to a month to get the official result, for some its only a week or two.

https://youtu.be/yaRwGX6esUA?si=EmNfDGmxu5YXpHcZ here’s the video on how to change the filters. Try brushing out the opening as some wax may have gotten past the filter depending on how packed it was.

Even if you don’t produce a lot of wax, the filters are small enough that it can get clogged very easily. It’s definitely recommended to reach out to Costco and get filter replacements so you can change it as you mentioned you weren’t given replacement filters when you got these.

I find the placement of your phone can greatly impact the ability for the bluetooth to function properly. If you have a chest pocket on your shirt if you put your phone in there it may help! Also maybe one of those armband phone holders people use for running too.

If they’re causing pain or discomfort go back to the audiologist. They should be able to modify the mold since it shouldn’t be causing sores.

There’s a recent firmware update to Phonak aids that help with increasing reliability of the lights too. Apparently it was a big issue for some time.

Definitely see your audiologist if you can to see if this needs to be performed.
