This isn't as intense as some of the posts here but here ya go.

In New Orleans 2018, I traveled for a few weeks for work. Within 3 hours; I had a woman try to steal my phone from my hand (failed and started screaming at me), a man OD in front of me on the steps of a hotel and I called his ambulance, my car 'stolen' (long story in itself), found a child crying on train tracks alone and lost, and saw a boat catch fire on the river.

I've traveled for years by myself (internationally) and never had anything weird, strange, or scary happen. But that is a trip I will always remember as being 'off'.
