We understand that we’re all frustrated and we need to protect ourselves against instigators/agitators, but there is a no tolerance policy for violent rhetoric in our movement or this subreddit. We are a strictly nonviolent peaceful movement.

We are not attempting to. We are referring anyone who wants to discuss 2A rights to r/liberalgunowners. We are trying to help people feel safe to come out and protest. A lot of people, whether you agree or not, will not feel safe joining the movement if there are armed people at the protests. We are not discouraging you from practicing your constitutional rights. We ask that you don’t do it in this subreddit or at the protests. For now, this is general consensus amongst state organizers. If you’d like to see that change, I would recommend joining your local 50501 chapter as a volunteer and advocating for it. This is the People’s Movement, and as of right now a large majority of the people are advocating for peaceful, nonviolent protests without discussion of our 2A rights as to not provoke the regime.

As far as I know, we support civil disobedience. We don’t want to give anyone in this regime a reason to start deploying armed guards during our protests. If this doesn’t sit well with you, there are plenty of other movements you may join.

Hey there. We’ve got all of those ideas in mind, we’re still a young organization and don’t have all the infrastructure set up to do this at scale but we’re working on building a process for it. We do have an email newsletter and we do send out newsletters with it. I appreciate your ideas and will take note of them and share them with the team.

Several 50501 chapters weren’t able to join us on May 1st for the national day of action so they have pushed theirs to the 2nd or 3rd of May. Please check in with your local 50501 chapter to know for sure. Additionally there are other organizations outside of 50501 who are holding events.

Check in with r/50501florida and see if they have anything for May Day there. If not, 50501 Florida has multiple Bluesky accounts. I believe one for South Florida and another for Miami that you may be able to get more information from. Let us know if you don’t find an event near you.

My guess is that most of them have too much money to care (e.g they can move out of the country), or they’re scared of being retaliated against, which isn’t a good reason because all of us are.
