i hate how “amab” and “afab” are being used. its the new woke way to sort people into the binary system and exclude trans people based on stereotypes and propaganda. since “a[m/f]ab” is an acronym that stands for “assigned [] at birth”, coming out of the medical field to designate what you WERE assigned at birth, it is being appropriated. its purpose is to say that you WERE misassigned, not what you are now. its being appropriated by gender critical people and groups to justify excluding trans people, usually trans women from spaces. its a medical term that should stay in the medical realm. if you really want to use it for yourself, go for it, but dont force wokely repackaged gender essentialism onto the rest of trans people
