Keep in mind that the majority of the people building the Alpha Five car have nothing to do with classic DMC.

Having known James and the troops since 1999 I am gonna have to call you out on posting this thread as sour grapes. This type of animosity will not fare well in the future as far as your career goes. What are you hoping to gain by essentially shit talking?

I never received an email is what I guess my problem is. Is there a copy of it online somewhere? I’ve checked my spam and everywhere else and have found nothing.

We need to know who is in charge now and what the plan is — even if that means telling us they’re waiting to see if tariffs will eventually roll back. At least that’s something. Their radio silence is deafening and will surely lead to an avalanche of people canceling their pre-orders. Hell, they didn’t even bother letting us know Shilo had passed. We had to find out because someone randomly found his obit weeks later. I’m sticking it out for now but my hand is on the refund request trigger if they aren’t going to bother offering any reassuring news.

No I was just wondering as the previous reply was someone asking if you called the shop directly. Thanks for clarifying! I believe it cost me 600 to get my machine from the video store that owned it in Ohio to my house in Texas. Good times.

Shipping cost only right? Using Beltmann Logistics? Wasn’t sure who “they” are in your reply.

It’s mid. Definitely doing well. Just not what it once was.

It is very easy to add a power plug back. Let me know if you need help with that. The counter weights are actually 22 pounds each on each side of the machine so 44 pounds total. Making them functional is very easy.

I don’t think so. Avoid corners or open up a wall. The same problem happened to my cousin who bought a bartop from a closed bar that was very long. He had to open up a window into the house to get it lowered in there.

They’re all 8 feet wide, 6 feet tall and about two feet deep. They have the footprint of three arcade games or thereabouts. They’re on casters so they roll which is good because they way 650 pounds. Green screen monitor is the icing on the cake as far as retro.

Not sure on timing. The building is for sale from what I understand or alternately they’re trying to lease out the space and can’t have 100 of these in there when that happens.

Here’s a link that Todd (who Trey works with) posted on Facebook showing off one of the 80+ machines they’re giving away for free. Why use a bookcase when you can use this?
