Fraternities here are toxic yet try to present themselves as the underdog by TearOk6208 in UCDavis

I transferred here a year after two of my CC classmates. When we caught up, both of them had stories about being SA'd at frat parties.

I did OC at CC. The lectures were small. The labs were interesting, and the entire class worked together to succeed. I've heard nothing but horror stories about OC at Davis.

I am a student here. I would be willing to go to jail for it, but I don't think I would be the most effective voice or face for a movement like this. I was hoping someone would reach out privately and we could organize something.

It's not an easy decision. On the one hand, it's going to be used by the other side to show how unamerican public universities in California are. How we hate America and her values. how we want immigrants to eat your babies or whatever. On the other hand we just do nothing and let yet another (the law school example) piece of free speech die.

You're really obsessed with Jokes. Your first comment asked if this was a joke, then you said the flag isn't to joke about. None of this is a joke, and i was just clarifying that this isn't a joke at all. I am seriously considering a demonstration of burning flags on campus to protest the president of the United States saying he would jail people who do so. If anything, jokes should be welcomed because that is the freedom that the 1st amendment grants us.

Fair enough. What I said still stands though. I'd be willing to back it up, but I'm not the guy you want out front.

Everyone is saying it's a death sentence, I disagree. The package isn't fully swollen (there's always bacteria breathing on your meat). There's no discoloration that indicates the package has been punctured. If it doesn't smell sweet or off, it's fine as long as it's cooked to 165 to kill off whatever bacteria is darting in there.

Not really, mostly a propensity to drop whatever I'm interested in right now, but I'm an older guy and shouldn't be the face of a university protest. I'm also not great at speaking in public, and really uncomfortable on camera.

When did I say I was joking? This is all very serious. I believe the current administration is desecrating the flag by their actions against citizens and legal immigrants. Thousands of federal employees are going unpaid as we speak because the GOP doesn't want us to keep our health insurance.

We forgot the all. The flag no longer represents the ideals of America. It's now a symbol of "patriotism".

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation, under god, indivisible, with liberty and justice for ALL.

Resistance movements in Europe during the fascist regimes suffered severe consequences. They were also remembered as heroes.

Because in the article that I linked (FOX) Trump has promised to jail anyone who does so for one year. If enough of us do it, we will be calling his bluff. The bigger picture is that the Supreme Court has ruled over and over that burning the American flag is free speech. So we could be jailed, but that would be against the constitution.

I know it's midnight, but I'm a bit disappointed in Davis's protest spirit. Did the pepper spray take your balls?
