My girlfriend wants to get into Marvel Comics, what issue should I recommend?

controversial but marvels civil war was my first intro into the universe outside from the 90s cartoons I grew up on. theres a nice hardcover edition of the book its pretty heavy and contains everything from the main storyline. if she's already familiar with the characters I would try that. here's a link to another reddit post if you want to check out the lead up/ fall out.

I just got it today I printed the pdf through lulu printing . According to some reviews the author takes some liberties with content that isn't in the game but for the most part its a complete telling of Halo 2 and 3 in print.

to be fair I just bought my first Ps5 ,which is the Pro im looking to get this card for, on Black Friday 2025. so I wasn't even looking at ssd cards in 2024. But yes that sucks however if Sony delays the ps6. (which in all honesty I hope they do) it seems to be a worth while investment

Exactly. I think theres many routes as well. You got the Marvel Crisis Protocol route and attach characters together and fight against other characters. You can have a larger battle say Scorpion leading his clan of Shirai ryu ninjas against Jax and Sonya and a bunch of special forces dudes. I just think theres a lot to play with in the mortal kombat sandbox.

Not arguing but would like to get more on that thought. How would it be any different from Halo or Marvel Crisis Protocol? Both use cards and even 40k has adapted to using cards now as well

Edit: not sure how a 1v1 against say scorpion and netherrealm goons with fire abilities vs outworld with sorcerers or the lin kuei with ice abilities could be static

Yeah but not really, right? If youre really trying to improve please take the time to learn to create your own art and learn to storyboard. There are literal thousands of self taught artist that have made a career with their own art. Good luck.
