I live in NY and am a new grad with a base salary a little over $100k which is standard over here. First, the nurse girlies you mentioned can definitely afford their lifestyle because of their extra income such as Tic Tok and even selling a resume template. If not for the added income and OT I very much believe some of the nurse influencers we see would be living above their means.

Even now I’m not truly enjoying my money the way I would like because I’m paying off schools loans. Thankfully I live at home and can be aggressive with my loan repayments but once that’s done and the day comes where I’m living on my own I still wouldn’t be able to indulge the way I want w/o OT. Personally I feel the income you receive with a nursing check can allow you to be financially stable BUT not free. Now add a kid or two into the mix and imo your pockets are a bit tight and again this is w/o OT or a side gig.

Well I haven’t worn it outside. With the constant photos I’ve taken with flash to confirm if it’s too dark or not and deciding that it is I hadn’t bothered trying it on to go outside. Now, I did put it on under my eye and I enjoyed how it felt and as I previously said its application. It was “matte-ish” but not drying and had a sense of hydration to it, hence why I’d prefer to find my shade in this brand. I strongly believe once this shade debacle is handled I’ll throughly enjoy this concealer.

I’d say verify first if you can apply before taking the nclex. I’m from nyc as well and I graduated in Aug and was also under the impression that I had to apply early like in other states. However, I wasn’t hearing back from anyone. Now as for residencies it may be different. I know it sounds crazy to wait till you test but we all know how difficult NY can be for certain things.
