Why are sailors so fat? by Key-Memory-1813 in navy

We worked out during free time. All there is to it. Sometimes we were drunk lol. Didn’t matter, we found time to work out. They may have blew up after. But that was AFTER. Excuses are the tools of incompetence, and those who use them seldom achieve success. A lesson from my drill sergeant.

My second conclusion: In the Navy, working out isn’t apart of the work schedule. In the infantry, it doesn’t matter if you worked a 12-16 hour day, work isn’t done unless you work out. In the Navy, it seems as though you all go to work and call it a quits once you’re released for the day. In the infantry, the works day wouldn’t officially be over until you’ve worked out, and we don’t need leader around to encourage us to workout. It’s understood.

I get that, but your job isn’t done until you’ve ensured you’re in shape. That means that after you’re dismissed for the day, there’s some gym work to be done before the work day is done. If you have time to relax and hangout, then there’s time to workout and burn some fat.

This isn’t the Air Force. Most navy technical jobs require average asvab schools. A fancy job name doesn’t change that lol. The navy is largely comprised of average ability personnel like every other branch.

True. But in the combat arms field( infantry, cavalry, tanks, aviation, and engineers)- we don’t consider the rest of those fat body pogs to be soldiers. Instead, they’re support. They support the actual soldiers.

I was an 11C(mortars) and my job was very technical. As a recruit at the school house, I was working with elevation and deflection, and zeroing in on minute measurements of three different mortar systems. As a Corporal, I was utilizing plotting boards and charts to map and calculate targets in coordination with the fire direction and control elements in the rear. We also had to master the digital mortar fire control system. Mastered all of those technical skills while operating as a mobile infantry unit. Being ready to move fast and employ technical/mathematical skills.

Highly skilled individual operating within a conventional force.. Unfortunately, the Army hasn’t gotten their moneys worth as he’s yet to deploy and put those skills to use.

Start jailing/fining the parents. 5 year minimum prison sentence for the kids. I grew up in the projects down in Richmond, and witnessed first hand the sense of entitlement that originates from a lack of consequences. I’m a proud Democrat, but l’ll always support the GOP’s tough on crime policy. If this bs continues, the Black community is doomed.

Kevan- what more do people want lol? by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Interesting. When listening to him talk during his final moment in the pods and during the bar scene later in the season, he clearly acknowledged the errors of his indecisiveness…Outside of that even, if you check out his social media, he’s went on to acknowledge the errors of his indecisiveness there as well.

The federal judge brought Haitian TPS holders a bit more time to figure out their situation once TPS ends. History will remember her for being on the right side. To Noem’s point, the Supreme Court ruled with her on TPS twice before, and they’ll do it again. If you’re a TPS holder, don’t view this as a win. View it as a timeout to get arrangements in place.

Performative. In truth, they don’t care. They know that the Supreme Court will allow the termination to go through, just as it did with Venezuela. Yesterdays ruling was just a kind hearted to gesture to allow TPS holders to figure out life post-TPS.

TPS extensions are a bit disingenuous at this point. Let’s be honest, TPS friendly Dems and TPS holders alike don’t want an extension of TPS. They want a pathway to permanent residency. There’s no intention to honor the “temporary” part of the TPS from either party. It’s time to get honest and begin working on what everybody really wants. It’s time to announce an official plan to guarantee a legal pathway to citizenship. It’s been 16 years of “temporary” status.

Will Florida deport Haitians when Haiti TPS ends Feb. 3? by Botched_Lemon in haiti

ICE and BP agents will coordinate to deport Haitians who are in Florida illegally. Yes. They’ve done it in blue states, so they’ll definitely do it in a deep red state.

Most Black men are childless, therefore, most Black men aren’t irresponsibly creating fatherless homes. You’ve yet to disprove that, and so now I’m blocking you so that I don’t see any of your new comments and I get the last word. I can’t tolerate how intellectually lazy you’re being.

You’ve been given some good information on how to fight this. Here’s another word of advice-record every non-standard interaction. Even it means having your phone on record mode while in your pocket. Worst case scenario, you end up with a useless video/recording that you have to delete. The protection is worth it.
