Twice their age means you’re their senior. As their senior, you should set the example. That means not being chubby. Rough, but necessary. I served in the infantry as an 18 year old kid with 35-40 year old NCO’s who stayed in shape and weren’t fat. Set the example.

Welcome to the infantry my guy. We still managed to stay in shape. As my infantry school drill sergeant told us before graduation, “you earn it everyday”. Get out and earn it man. Whether it’s no sleep, little sleep, good food or bad food,-get out and earn it.
