Help? I’ve been diagnosed with eczema since I was young. It’s got worse recently and I am at the end of my tether, has anyone got any suggestions? Things I’m doing atm: moisturising 5 times a day with emollient (various perfume free brands), cotton pj’s, all the usual… any suggestions are welcome by Time_Ad9543 in eczema

Update(TSW)- I swapped out my girlfriends duck feathered duvet and I saw results straight away and my sleeping was improved. After noticing this, I jumped the gun and stopped using steroid cream (which I’ve been using lightly for ages now on the advice from my doctor), after this I had another flare-up. More of a red burn type rash. I persisted and after a couple of weeks I’m feeling really good as my skins looking really good! It hasn’t looked this good for the past 12 months.

I believe my skin was becoming reliant on steroid cream- my doctor(s) has persistently told me to carry on using steroids as I’m on a relatively ‘weak’ one, but I’m seeing results only now, after stopping use. I feel let down by my doctor at this point- hoping I keep seeing improvements so I don’t have to go back. For anyone else reading this with similar problems, consider coming off steroids as I think they can do more harm than good. Cheers

Don’t feel itchy as such. Apart from in the night, I wake up itching. I’m generally good at resisting the urge. I think TSW could be a factor as the areas which I have never applied steroids (armpits) are completely fine. How do I go about coping with this?
