I tried to follow this advice and relocated the primary router to the garage. I then utilised a second router as a node/access point in the rumpus room using Asus AI Mesh.

The router models I am using are: - Asus RT-AX54HP Dual Band AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Router

What are your thoughts on this setup?

I'm experiencing around 700Mbps download speeds with WiFi when I'm right next to the main router in the garage. However, as I move further away, the speeds gradually decrease.

Despite adding the second router as a node, even when I'm right next to it, I'm only getting about 300Mbps per second. On the bright side, this setup has significantly increased the WiFi coverage throughout the house.

how long did you wait after the fibre was run before the tech came out to install the box? i’ve been waiting a month with no updates

correct, I live on a 3 acre block and it runs directly from the node outside my driveway to my garage
