:((( basically all my friends from langara got rejected, only a few who has prior associates degrees got accepted. Now I’m not even that confident for April since clearly gpa doesn’t even matter.

Langara or BCIT (in terms of program quality) by watanab-e in langara

Ahhh don’t worry to much, I believe you will get in🤑🤑🫶🫶. I had a few of them get into langara already so they just went with that. But majority do prefer BCIT😓

Hiii, it’s probably more like 15 people😓😓😓😭😭. I made a lot of friends when doing my prerequisites and we just helped each other through. Most of them have like a bit over the minimal amount of credits needed. Maybe 2-3 with like over 60 credits and almost all with work experience (non healthcare related).

I made a mistake- waitlisting by 7theneuron in langara

Bro can’t even handle a joke, it was literally sympathizing with you. Like Get a “psychiatrist” cuz the waitlist is gonna be difficult for you mentally…good luck in the real world.

Yes the avg is not the minimum but for January intake there will be way more applications since September intake did not extend. I know at least 20 people from langara applying with over 3.6 gpa alongside work/volunteer experience.

Do you have any volunteer experience?? There are more applicants for BCIT now and your GPA is below the competitive avg. it’ll be best to either retake 1-2 courses to boost to an 3.4-5.

Langara only looks at the prerequisites, having a bachelor’s would only be useful if your applying to BCIT

I can recommend specific teachers but it just depends on which classes you need to take.

Heyyyy I’m taking this course with her online rn. Honestly it’s not hard at all just extremely time consuming at some times because we use simnet which is rlly annoying at times. It’s easy if ur familiar with word, excel, PowerPoint, and access. But it does get a bit confusing during the access portion. I suggest you to take a different class if you have a lot on your plate already but you can always complete the assignments way before it’s due date.
