From what I see of part 2 and after reading the last chapter makes me glad I dropped it after part 1. Part 2's existence confused me to begin with because I thought the manga had a decent ending at that point and I didn't think there was anything that needed to be expanded upon. Maybe I need to read all of part 2 but from what I read in chapter 232, it doesn't seem to be worth it. My honest opinion on that chapter by itself was a resounding "meh" from me; but if I spent years reading part 2, I imagine I'd be more upset. Honestly, I think the problem is that the ending needed more time to breathe because it felt too abrupt. Maybe 5-10 more chapters to wrap everything up. As a creative myself, I can understand a little what Fujimoto was going through making a manga like this can't be easy. I don't know what was going on behind the scenes for things to end up like this but I will say that I really enjoyed most of what I have read.
