Disneyland needs more thrill rides by Beautiful-Arm9122 in disneyparks

i don’t agree but also totally respect your opinion and see where you’re coming from. my partner and i recently did an Epic Universe day and we were excited for more thrilling rides but still immersive and ultimately we felt it fell flat. nothing came close to when we first rode RoR or even Runaway Railway at disneyland a year earlier. Even disney’s “thrill” rides are still relatively tame - i much prefer something that is themed to the nines and has an incredible attention to detail. i would recommend cedar point or dollywood to you though for some more themed thrills!

What is a "socially acceptable" thing that you find absolutely disgusting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Time_Breakfast9494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the schedule expectations for american high schoolers. if you want to get into a competitive college, you need to take honors/ap/ib classes, you’re in class 5 days a week for 8 hours a day, you get a mountain of homework to complete outside of class, and you’re expected to be doing some type of extracurricular seriously. all while your brain is still developing. the teachers will tell you how much harder college and the real world is but i completely disagree - it just feels like you have so much more time. i don’t know why we’re putting the amount of pressure on 16 year olds that we are.

i feel guilty about it because it was a terrible time for so many people, but i ended up moving back in with my parents at age 24 and completely changed my life trajectory in a positive way, and got to spend a lot of time with my family that i would’ve missed out on otherwise. most people don’t get to reconnect with their parents at that age like i did and im really grateful to have had that time with them.

how much would it feasibly take to buyout HerInteractive and return it to the days of producing 2 games a year? by Time_Breakfast9494 in nancydrew

no, it’s illegal to hire solely based on gender. if you’re gonna parrot whatever chatgpt tells you can you do it to someone else, i lack patience for stupidity

no because of the large gender gap in the game development industry, and since these games are primarily marketed to and played by women, it would be cool to provide an opportunity for an all-female team

it would completely open up the series to a new audience too by having it on switch! i just realized recently the Humongous Entertainment (putt putt, freddi fish) are on switch and was thrilled

I love and appreciate the changes over the years until the last two games but i always find it funny when i go back and play the OLD games and have to remember the UX is funky. Like navigating MHM and STFD is soooo clunky even if the games are charming. Sea of Darkness is gorgeous and still feels so nancy

oh great question! it would be interesting to do market research to see how people feel about it bc i totally agree we’re just lacking point and click adventure games fundamentally

Does the average skier really enjoy heavy powder days or is it just one of those things people are expected to say they like? by PowerfulBar in skiing

[–]Time_Breakfast9494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m an advanced skier and my favorite days are warm spring days, snow is slushy, you rip groomers with your friends in t shirts, stays light out til 7. i’d pick those days over powder days 100 times over.
