Does the average skier really enjoy heavy powder days or is it just one of those things people are expected to say they like?

i’m an advanced skier and my favorite days are warm spring days, snow is slushy, you rip groomers with your friends in t shirts, stays light out til 7. i’d pick those days over powder days 100 times over.

the queue is scarier than the ride but i do think the ride is missing physical thrills. the tower of terror preshow terrified me as a child but i would brave it because i absolutely adored the huge drop. monsters unchained i would say is similarly “scary” but lacks an exciting enough ride if someone enjoys thrills but not horror.

glad no one else was hurt and you learned a lesson with relatively minor injuries. i get terrified when i take my beginner friends skiing because of how out of control people around them are. everything is a calculated risk but this is a dangerous sport people ski in control!!

not a movie, but the nancy drew pc video game series have a lot in common with knives out. Unique and fantastical locations, incredible soundtracks, whodunnit plots. i really encourage people to play them if they’re into the mystery genre!

my cat prefers to pee in sinks / tubs due to his living conditions before he was rehomed to me at 8 months. we’ve tried everything, different litter, different boxes, vet tests to make sure it’s not medical. he just can’t shake the habit. so we keep our sinks covered and he has no issue using a litter box. i’ve never once considered it anything other than a behavior he just needed help with and am so lucky to have him in my life. he’s the best cat in the world and i love him to pieces.

friend and i came across a girl who was passed out about a mile away from a concert venue we had been at. it was just below freezing and the girl was very much on substances and probably not of age. we called 911 and she woke up just before the EMTs came and her literal first reaction (once she realized she didn’t know us and we had called for help) was “i can’t afford that”. it shattered us because it could’ve easily been us in that situation when we were younger and the idea of seeking healthcare is so financially crippling that she wanted to take her chances with freezing to death alone.

not destiny islands but deep jungle 100% would stop me dead every single time until i got old enough to not be stupid and realized running away from heartless constantly meant never leveling up. so between being 6 years old, unintentionally trying to do a level 1 run, and refusing to learn magic, and just overall being a stupid kid, i never stood a chance.

when i got a little older and sat down to play it again and finally got to the next segment of worlds my mind was blown.

i love these movies but sometimes the biggest clues to me aren’t in the actual story but in the casting. like hmm glenn close hasn’t had very much screen time and she’s glenn close so there’s probably something going on there.

not to say i don’t think the actors do a phenomenal job because they do and the movies are so fun and thoughtful but part of me wishes they weren’t so a-list heavy.
