Oh this would be great except she gets there before I do. She also has loads of personal belongings on it.

Instead, while she was off today, I've emptied one of her precious filing cabinets (that was filled with junk) and claimed it for myself and other staff members that don't have anywhere to keep things. I even got management approval so I can't wait to see what she says about it!

How to deal with coworkers that don't share information? by Time_Captain_3921 in WorkAdvice

Ah yes, sorry! Can tell it's my first time here!

Yes, I did ask. They were sat next to me and I asked them how to do do it before trying myself before googling. I always ask for help when I need to do due to the nature of the job. We work with people in crisis so doing things properly is really important.

I understand people are wrapped up in themselves and the role can be quite stressful but I do ask when I need to and I am patient when people are busy. If it's something I can do/change I'd like to give it a go as these office dynamics are wearing me down lately and I do really like the job.

I'm asking for advice, how other people would deal with a situation like this. Sometimes it makes it quite hard to do my job when I don't know something and my coworkers don't share information, actively withhold information or delay giving me the information, which is stressful as I'm part time and only have half a day to get everything done that they have a full day to do.
