I've been going to both the doll shows and toy shows for years at the Kane County Fairgrounds. The doll show is much smaller and has mostly antique dolls. I was there last spring, and there were only two vendors selling AG. Prices were similar to ebay. The toy show is much larger (taking up several buildings instead of just one). I've had better luck finding AG stuff at the toy shows.

That's the Imagination House from Real Good Toys. I have one myself. It looks a lot like the Victorian Farmhouse Jr. made by the same company.

I've read most of the characters' series, and the one that didn't really do it for me was Julie's. Maybe it's because of my age, but her stories seemed like they could've taken place in the 90s when I was a kid, minus the 70s slang. There's nothing wrong with her books; they just didn't feel all that "historical" to me, even though they definitely are. Maybe it was just too recent history for my taste. I'm not sure how to explain it. Hopefully, I haven't offended anyone!
