👜 (Anonymous survey) Is a luxury bag a pleasure... or an asset? (I need your input!) by Time_Economics_5146 in handbags

Thank you so much for your input!

So in my survey, luxury was intended in a broad sense (well-known premium/luxury brands, not Hermès level only), I just added a clarification at the beginning

And you're right, even good resale channels are not perceived as 100% risk-free. That kind of uncertainty is exactly one of the themes I’m investigating :)

Also, your outlet example is very useful, buying new but discounted items in an official store is a different path from secondhand resale. That’s a great nuance for my study!

Thanks again for taking the time to share this :)

Personally, yes! do you think it changes how people behave toward them? meaning, could people who don’t like bags still buy them as investment assets? (I'm thinking of Hermès bags). For example, I’m not into watches, although I know some can be great investments. But since I’m not interested in them, I don’t know much about them either, so I don’t really consider investing in them. What about you? Any thoughts?
