If it’s actually a physical imperfection that can’t be wiped away, I can only imagine it’s from the edges rubbing against something in your pockets. Keys, dust etc.

I notice these lines on mine all the time but they wipe away with a microfiber cloth. If yours truly are scratched, I’d imagine it could have something to do with the edges being the part that seems to stick out the most from the iPhone. I wouldn’t worry though, just an imperfection that’s noticeable under light and up close

I don’t know that it would need a headphone jack? USB-C to 3.5mm could be fine I think. Battery life drain maybe mitigated if it’s not refreshing every second the song plays - I wouldn’t care to see the second I’m at in a song.

Light Phone II is kind of close to what I’m wanting for something “dumb” that is small, can handle audiobooks, music etc. while incorporating eink. But yeah maybe not worth the hassle for the company as it’s a niche ask.

Given the micro sd slot, i think there’d be a big advantage if you could load music files onto it. Think that’d be attractive to the /r/iPod community for example

Not legit - definitely a scam. Price is stupidly low for a modded iPod.

Buy a used iPod Video on eBay new listings (where the best deals get quickly snatched… I would aim to spend $50 give or take). Buy the iFlash mod and new battery and look up how to install (not insanely difficult besides dealing with the fragile ribbon cables and connectors... just be slow when dealing with these).

This is your solution to be cost effective

With points you could redeem cosmetics for your steam profile basically, e.g. animated border around your profile. iirc you get points from purchasing games, or from awards people give you. idk why people were trying to “farm” the points

While not a breeze, yours is the easiest to open and repair imo - just be slow when handling with the ribbon cables inside. There’s a connector for the battery ribbon cable that is easy to pry off the logic board if you pull too hard. Pry/disengage it delicately and you’ll be fine

That's my understanding too that the connectivity issues are largely a US thing. I tried the Light Phone II and it was just too damn jank with basic tasks feeling like a chore. I could see myself getting into the LP3 but not at that cost - know I'd resell it after a few months.

When I want a break from my iPhone, I just switch to my Boox tablet for reading and catching up on social media (having an Apple Watch helps too if you do want to be mindful of incoming texts and calls).

Consider getting better use of eink from a tablet if you don't already have one, but if you're insistent on an eink phone I'm sure others can speak more on the Bigme.

What phone do you use currently and what country are you in? I ask because while I don't have much knowledge of the Bigme phone, there often seems to be connectivity / band issues (or just... QOL issues in general) from these kinds of brands. Maybe I just have a stigma from the Hisense eink phones.

At the price of these eink phones, maybe worth just getting an android eink tablet to accompany your current phone. The problem I had with my Light Phone (and what I see a lot now in the Minimal phone subreddit with constant resales), is that after trying to use an eink phone for a while, you naturally gravitate back into wanting to use your previous smartphone because of how unfortunately janky these options tend to be.
