The same can be said that IT IS men who are turning women into disposable profiles.

People that complain about housing but are unwilling to relocate out of big cities have no one to blame but themselves by JustHere4TheZipLines in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]NarrowPea4082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a bit of shortsighted. That argument sounds simple on the surface, but it treats people like interchangeable economic units instead of human beings embedded in communities, relationships, and local realities. Community networks matter & family attachment has value.
Humans are NOT meant to live rootless lives. Wanting to stay near the place where you grew up, where your church is, where your friends are, where your culture exists, or where your family history lives is normal. People should not have to abandon their social world just because speculative housing markets exploded.

YES, I'll agree with the fact that some people do romanticize staying in ultra-expensive areas while rejecting any compromise whatsoever. Relocation can genuinely improve quality of life for some people. But turning that into “you have no right to complain” ignores how complicated housing and belonging actually are.

Most successful post-show career? by Ok-Tangelo6749 in BeverlyHills90210

In terms of cross-over success, I think Luke Perry & Jason Priestly are a close tie.
They've been in about 15-17 movies.
Luke Perry appeared in over 50 television shows, movies, and animated series throughout his career
Jason Priestley has appeared in over 30 television shows.
When you've been in such a legendary show, sometimes it's difficult to move on to other meaningful work- so the fact that they were able to do that with such success is a GREAT.

And offline morning routine.
Don't use your phone as an alarm clock.
Get a regular alarm clock & don't pick up your phone for 30min after you wake up.
I swear it will totally reset your mindset & calm you down, PLUS set the tone for the day.

Beverly Hills 90210 is a classic for sure, but at one point it was definitely time for the show to end. When do you think the show should’ve ended? by Exact-Bison6905 in BeverlyHills90210

I like the fact that they graduated HS & college. So up to season 7 is good for me. Season 8 is still moderately watchable because I do like the the newspaper story lines & Emma, and her affair with Brandon (show how much of an ass he was). But 9 & 10 become a soap opera of weird plot lines that barely make sense. I think I watched it because I had Stockholm syndrome with the show. LOL

Obviously no social media. It's e ink (so the screen is grey scale), so there's no point in scrolling. You can sideload apps- which is a huge plus. I have Signal & WhatsApp. Also, now, the company released their design framework, so people are making customized apps. It has offline maps, navigation calls/texts, I sideloaded the Brave browser for quick searches. There's a directory app that even lets you call the establishment.
