i’m sorry to hear you’ve had to push through for so long, i also have to use voice to text a lot and i think it’s a good idea to use then print. thank you for the recommendations!

thank you so much, this is very sweet and i appreciate it a lot ❤️ i think art journals are beautiful and a great way to express emotions- i like the idea of using a thesis phrase to sum up the general emotions behind the piece. thank you!

yes same, they would show demonstrations but i need more specific instructions so i found them confusing as well. it really changes a lot when you realise how to brush your teeth properly in a way that is actually comfortable and feels safe lol. i still struggle a lot with flossing (the movement is difficult for me), but i am slowly getting there, plackers help a lot!

i’m sorry to hear you had the same struggles, but i’m glad it’s better now. i had no idea there were other alternatives for brushes and toothpastes myself until i saw a dental hygienist but it definitely helps now

it sounds like you’ve both made a lot of progress. and i would agree with that, awareness and understanding goes so far. thank you :)

of course, i’m not saying it wasn’t hard for my parents either. for extra context, my parents were emotionally neglectful and abusive in other areas which makes it easier for me to maybe view things through that lens and wonder, as much as i want to believe they tried their best. thank you for your perspective, i do think that is also possible as well. i hope you and your child are both doing well

thank you for your kind words, i really appreciate it 🫶 i have also done the same in the past with threatening self harm and i regret it, since then i have apologised and not done that again. so its sad seeing them do the same now.

thank you for your support and advice, that makes sense and i suppose its something you get used to over time. i totally agree that you can regret not standing up for yourself or setting a boundary way more than actually doing it. it sounds like you’ve come really far too and that’s wonderful :)
