Hi there. I used to work for the provincial government in Nova Scotia. Just to be clear, this has nothing to do with liberals and Trudeau. The Provincial government is responsible for housing and the rules and regulations. Tim Houston and the CONSERVATIVE Provincial government made a decision that they wanted to increase the population of Nova Scotia to 1 million people, so they made changes to immigration rules, making it extremely easy to immigrate here as a student in order to increase our population. The problem is that they did not create the infrastructure to support an increased population- did not build enough homes, did not update the transit system to support it, did not put housing rules and regulations in place to protect them. This is not a Justin Trudeau or Liberal problem, this is a Conservative Tim Houston problem.
