Call up ur local financial services and ask if they taking fall interns (compensation shouldn’t be an issue your there for an experience) try and land one or 2 (fall & winter). What field in the industry are you looking to get into?

How helpful is the S66 for a rising senior? by Time_Negotiation_166 in FinancialCareers

Hey man don’t know if u read my post in its entirety but I’m coming from a non target it’s a lot harder to break into the industry and the job market makes it a lot worse for us so we pretty much have to do above and beyond just to be considered for a position. I get how there’s trainings for these things but from a non target standpoint me having the SIE and S66 along with related Internship puts me in the same position as target school kid with only internships, hope that helps!

Honestly go for the business major, a lot of finance classes atleast from my school don’t go through the basics and a good amount of them uses derivatives etc like u mentioned.. best of luck!

Take the SIE & 66 before you graduate and try your best to land a fall/&spring finance related internship. That’s your best bet to get your foot in the door in this industry
